Well, it looks like GW and the gang are gearing up for a final push before Christmas with the supposed signing of Jake Jervis I for one am excited about this possible move as he played well for and against us last season, currently with out club I think he would be a great asset to the squad............ Harris and Awfs junior are going out on loan as news is broken that Catlin has given GW the green light top strengthen the squad and get us up the table...........there is a real buzz about the club at present, one I witnessed at training last week......Connolly has really played into the coach role and i have to say, although he has never really featured as one of our best players, albeit our top goal scorer, he has played a huge part in the training sessions and the players have huge respect for his talent. Most of the set pieces where we have scored goals from have come from his ideas! Considering where we were this time last year............mainly hiding from the next piece of bad news......I am really loving life at Pompey......time to push on lads....PUP BP
I think that what we are seeing now are the true aspirations for the club by the PCFC Board members - albeit tempered with a hefty dose of common sense and financial savvy/prudence. Where are we now? At 7 strikers? Looking good
Can't say I'm surprised, or sorry, to see him go, to be honest. He was always having a go at referees and linesmen, picking up silly yellow cards, and he missed so many goal scoring chances in his time with us. Bit of a hot head ! The kind of person who could start a fight in an empty room......
GOOD NEWS !! Bondz N’Gala has committed himself to Pompey after extending his current deal until the end of the season.

Its all coming together nicely, grinding out some results......even if the lads do seem to make it hard for them selfes........I do question GW's timing on subs still, yesterday he made 3 changes when probably only one of them was needed at that time.....the result, a team who were playing the oppo off the field gets completely unbalanced and two goals conceded in side 10 mins!........We were lucky not to loose that game 3-4 for the last 15 mins! With regards to Marquis, it seems if he spat his dummy at finding out he was left out of yesterdays squad as a couple of injured players returned early.......I guess frustrating for him ,but he wont have done himself any favours, I heard GW was thinking of going to Millwall in Jan with a deal to take him as cover......
We are suddenly looking like a team. Agree with Guy bringing on Andy Barcham for Jed Wallace - that change worked immediately, BUT , why on earth replace Simon Ferry who to my mind was playing really well alongside Therry Racon, with Johnny Ertl ?! Was Ferry injured ? He didn't look tired to me, so what was the reason for that change !
Fair enough - but would prefer to see Romain Padovani come on instead of Ertl, who seems a bit off form to my mind.
David Connolly has just lifted the lid on 2 clubs talking to PCFC about Jed Wallace - he seems destined to leave.............. Shame
Real shame if it happens in January - let us hope they are Premier Division clubs who will immediately consider letting Jed return to us on loan until the end of the season (and next season as well) to continue his education here at Fratton Park.
Wonder why Connolly took it upon himself to talk about this? Not that it's really anything we don't already know. I'm sure he'd have been asked by a journalist, but shouldn't his response be "I'm a player and a coach, I'm not involved in contract negotiations"? Just seems odd. Anyway, the worst part of this story is reading that Ben Thatcher is Jed's agent. We've all got fond memories of him, haven't we... http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xh17rw_ben-thatcher-elbow-on-pedro-mendes_shortfilms
Neil Allen has now corrected this on Twitter. Honestly, if you can't believe what you read in the local Pompey sports press, can you ever believe the press on anything?
God almighty, the more I look at the video, the worse the challenge looks. Ben Thatcher was disgusting. There is no room in football for revolting animals like him
