Just thinking. We will no doubt sell a couple of players and we still have the Benty money to spend, so theoretically we may not have to ask Ellis to pay for a few players from his own cash. We could self generate our playing budget. I think Ferdinand may go, I hope Turner goes, even Hendo may leave if one of the bigger clubs come sniffing...So For around 30 million, none of which comes from Ellis I think we could at least offer to get in some decent players who could potentially improve us. I'm not trying to be like some delusional lunatic who thinks we should get mourhino as manager and bring messi to the SOL, but I think most of them are realistic. I would take any of them bar Joe Cole. Hasn't done anything for the scousers this season and ã7mil for a very injury prone 29/30 year old would be a gamble. I'd take Samba in a heartbeat. Imagine Bramble and Samba in the middle?? The two words 'human wall' spring to mind!

Could we swap N'Zogbia, Samba or Demba Ba for Crouch? Otherwise that would be a cheaper alternative to: Maybe a mixture of the 2? It might be a great summer for transfers!
