in the football news at the moment that modric of spurs has not turned up for spurs tour to the USA. he has been photographed on a beach somewhere with his family and has effectively gone on strike because he wants a transfer and has been fined.

clearly he thinks the club and its manager / chairmen are pushovers and is behaving in this grossly unprofessional way to force the club to sell him? i hope they either get the price they want or hold him to his contract..

wonder why this never happens at a club like man u? imagine refusing to come on as a sub if fergie was your manager!! wouldnt wish that on my worst enemy lol.

i'm sure malky would be the same, i wouldnt cross him and i'm sure neither would the players.....our players look a grounded bunch who work hard for their wages, the modric situation highlights how powerful prima donna players feel....and in many ways sums up some of the problems you get with these so called 'untouchable' high profile players...
 
What a plonker he is.I have to say that seems a little typical of players from that neck of the woods - Croatia/Serbia etc.

He's good but not that good - didn't do much in the Europeans. I wonder how far Levy will take this, after all £27m is better than nothing.
 
A Spurs fan I know rates him pretty highly and will be gutted if he left. I think it's a bit short sighted of the player because surely he's doing himself a bit of damage on the market. If I was a manager looking for a player I certainly wouldn't pick this guy no matter how good he believes himself to be.
Tevez I think is a good example of shooting yourself in the foot. He buggered off to Argentina in a strop saying he wouldn't play for citeh again. So Mancini said "up yours mate, I ain't selling you" (in Italian accent) the owners obviously backed Mancini and there you go Tevez stays at citeh because no other club could risk getting a spoilt brat in at the expense of the club.
