While Adkins and Cortese are on holiday...... Their either the most laid back characters going or have something special up their sleeve! HOPE IT'S BOTH LOL COYR!!
It is possible that the players we are interested in can't be bought before they have been adequately replaced by their clubs.
We are probably waiting till 31st August at 11:59:59 to then try to rush a deal through. Or we are waiting for Messi to announce that he would like to play for us!
Well I had a go didn't work out..... was my first effort for some time I will either stick to passing stupid comments on other peoples threads or keep practising. I actually thought this warrented a serious discussion though! Serious.
I don't think either is laid back..they just know what's going on and we don't. I think Adkins is pretty calm and probably has his eye on several players. Let's hope one is nearly ripe! NC can get wound up about being taken advantage of, but lets hope he weakens and loosens the purse strings. Don't want to be the only team with nobody in August.
Don't worry SaintsFanAlex..at least they commented. It's worse when you add a post, read by hundreds without 1 comment. Keep posting because in the closed season we all love discussions. They're not all Einsteins on here (well I am, obviously).
We wont have nobody in August, all the current players are still under contract. Plus we've already signed two players. Jaidi and Connolly.
Adkins has clearly said that we need a couple of quality players. He will be disappointed if we don't get them.
So Brighton have signed Buckley from Watford. He's good, but he's not that good and £1m is pretty steep. At least it would be here for a player would be second to Lallana and Chamberlain. Best not to get too worried. There will be people here looking round players and Adkins/Cortese will have phones/laptops/skype on holiday if they are alerted to something.
Exactly. Personally, I'd be disappointed if we'd signed Buckley (for example) - especially for £1million! I'd rather wait than jump the gun and panic buy.
