A list of quality players are: Andrey arshavin Florent malouda stewart downing Nani, Man u 26, winger michu 26, swansea, striker Michael dawson, 29, Spurs, centre back James Mccarthy, 22,Wigan, midfielder. Tom ince, Blackpool, 20,winger. Charlie austin, 23, striker, blackpoll (23 goals this season). Relisticly i would say Mcarthy, Austin, Arshavin and dawson might come here.
Take Malouda. Arshavin- big time charlie butwould be quality for us. Wouldn't come to us. (back to Russia) Nani- is he available, doubt it. Downing- as above. McCarthy- as above. Ince- going to Liverpool. Austin- looks good in championship. If anything should have taken Rhodes when we had the chance. Dawson- still looks like QPR (if he leaves)
How on earth is michu available? They just signed him and his value has gone up 10 fold. Bizarre. Austin doesn't play for blackpool.
Yip. However he would be the only realistic signing from that list. Still though, it ain't gonna happen.
Isn't there still a FIFA rule that means players can only be registered/play for 2 clubs in a year? (with the exception of leagues where the season ends differently eg Brazil or Russia, I think) If so, that would rule out the potential signings of Michu (joined Swans in summer) and Diame from WHU (joined in summer), who is another that I've seen us linked to...
I think this shows the importance of not cutting and pasting possible players on the move as other than Austin & Downing, nine of the above would be remotely on my list and the majority wont be coming or would want to come anyway.
