A useful overview of the main player stats.

    http://thepremierleagueowl.com/newcastle-vs-southampton-individual-player-statistics/

A very useful three points for Newcastle, and one of the goals of the season from Papiss Cisse – here are some statistics from St James’ Park:

    – Three players managed pass accuracies of 90% or above during the game: Jonas Gutierrez (94%), Yoan Gouffran (92%), and Steven Davis (91%).

    – Both Moussa Sissoko and Papiss Cisse scored with their only shots on-target.

    – Yoan Gouffran attempted a game-high 4 shots.

    – Matthieu Debuchy led the game with 7 successful tackles. Debuchy, however, also gave away more free-kicks than any player on either side (4).

    – Cheik Tiote and Yohan Cabaye both made 5 interceptions, more than any other players.

    – Jos Hooiveld made a game-leading 10 defensive clearances.

    – Adam Lallana was the most careless player in possession, losing the ball 5 times.

    – Nathaniel Clyne and Matthieu Debuchy were both fouled 3 times, the most in the game.

    – Debuchy also won more aerial duels than any other player (8).

    – 5 of Yohan Cabaye’s 10 attempted crosses found a teammate, the highest completion rate in the game.

    – 64% of Southampton’s attempts on goal came from outside the box.

    – Newcastle out-shot Southampton 14 to 11.

    – Southampton’s collective pass-success was 9% higher than Newcastle’s, and they also enjoyed 59% of the total possession.

    – Newcastle won 57% of the aerial duels which occurred during the game.

Agree. And it's more than that. His bravery impresses me. He is however, sometimes a bit slow in reacting and tends to get beat by tricky wingers at times. However he's a much better upgrade than Simmo in terms of attacking so I'll take it.

It's really nice to see a back four where you could say apart from Santon, 3 out of the back 4 would go hard at challenges.
