    Vito Mannone – 6

Solid performance again from Vito, didn’t have a lot to do but dealt with everything he had to.

    Santiago Vergini – 6

Santi looked assured on the ball but never really made an impact getting forward. However he looked better in defence than last weekend.

    Wes Brown – 6

A solid game but there was a couple of nervous moments throughout the game from Wes, however he made up for any mistakes with a good clearing header to deny Burnley in stoppage time.

    John O'Shea – 5

Looked troubled throughout the game against what is basically a championship standard front line. O’Shea looked tired as the game progressed and was lucky to get away with a last ditch shirt pull on Jutkiewicz near the end

    Patrick van Aanholt – 7

Did his defensive duties well and got forward when he could. Always made himself available down the line and nearly won us the game with a long range effort that cannoned back off the post.

    Lee Cattermole – 6

Lee didn’t really do much wrong. A solid performance and nothing more.

    Seb Larsson - 5

Seb was anonymous for the majority of the game, not really making any significant contribution in attack or defence other than just being there.

    Jack Rodwell - 6

Some attempts to impose himself on the game but just lacked a cutting when going forward.

    Emanuele Giaccherini – 6

He didn’t do much wrong either. He looked lively during the early stages of the game, showing some promising touches however he tailed off towards the end and had to be substituted due to injury

    Adam Johnson - 6

Johnson made a couple of early runs but generally failed to make any inroads when in possession, favouring to turn back towards his own goal than take on the opposition.

    Connor Wickham – 5

Connor had a couple of shots from outside the box but he didn’t really manage to make any impact when he got on the ball, which wasn’t too often.

    Jordi Gomez – 5

Came on late in the game but didn’t produce the same standard from off the bench has he has previously shown this season.

    Will Buckley – 5

Same as Gomez, he didn’t do a lot apart from a couple of runs which amounted to nothing.

    Jozy Altidore – 5

Not sure what position Jozy was playing in when he came on. He didn’t seem to be up front, rather spending much of his time in our own half playing on the left which was rather confusing.

Man Of The Match – Patrick Van Aanholt

Quite hard to pick a man of the match today but it would probably have to go to Van Aanholt. There wasn’t much quality on show today but Patrick’s eagerness to get forward and his shot at the end probably does enough to warrant the man of the match.

Can't argue too much with that Tees.
I would have deducted more off Larsson mind. :p
I was struggling to see exactly where he was actually supposed to be playing.
If Gus has given him some sort of free role, he has picked the wrong player, too slow too ponderous too negative.
