Would like to hear from the people who were there as well and by the way brilliant support could only hear us throughout the game. Watching from the TV though. Davis-8 Always looked confident and commanded his area no chance with either goal. Fox-6 Got caught by the winger all the time leaving us exposed, unlucky with his free kick but just ok. Hoover- 7 Did all he needed to do strong and sturdy unlucky with a header from a corner. Fonte-7 Yes his challenge cost us a goal but Boro could of scored more if it wasn't from his clearances. Buttres-6 Did a job nothing else. Chaplow- 6 Great energy got in great positions no end product. Cork-7 Battled hard needs to beef up. Hammond-6 Great for a battle normal poor passing though always sideways or backwards. Lallana-6 Showed flashes but little else. Lambert-6 Few nice touches but not his usual self. Sharp-8 MOTM Looked hungry always looked dangerous and a cool finish and always tracked back. Subs- 6 Great effort by Guly! So unlucky! But generally subs made up the numbers. Sorry if I missed anyone had few beers!
I'll try my best from watching on TV! Davis - 6 Fox - 6 Hooiveld - 7 Fonte - 7 Butterfield - 6 Chaplow - 6 Cork - 7 Hammond - 6 Lallana - 6 Lambert - 6 Sharp - 8 Guly - 6 Schneiderlin - 7
He didn't have a lot to do (from what I remember), and perhaps could have positioned himself better for the goal, but maybe thats being picky I did love it when he came out chanting Yellows, Yellows, Yellows though!
Haha Bendy! I know I can be harsh with players at times but I always said I wanted to be proved wrong and this is the case with Billy! I currently feel he can score anytime he's in a shooting position I am feeling positive mate and I embrace excitement leave it til the last day NOT!
Yeah that's a fair point, but looking hungry isn't really enough (sadly!) I thought their player Bailey was outstanding, can't believe Sky gave MOTM to Zemmama. For us though, Chaplow was the heartbeat of the side today, when he went off we never looked like scoring.
Yeah I agree Chaplow was good I would of rated him higher but just he didn't take his chances however his work rate was second to none
For all the bashing of certain players on forums... someone seems to have escaped it today... Rickie Lambert. He was god awful all game, his touch wasn't there at all. Oh well though, he was due a bad game and for what he has given to SFC this is by no means a dig, just an observation. On the other hand, I think it means we will have a Rickie who wants to carry out some kick-ass at St. Mary's next weekend.
Do you know what fair play for being bold and coming out with it. I got shot down for saying Sharp was crap when he actually was and now he is improving I have the guts to stand up and say it. We should be allowed to slate Rickie, Spider, Lallana if their crap in a game its a simple observation. Guly is always slated and he has done a lot to get us where we are. Great post mate Que the haters.
I am a massive Rickie fan but he wasn't as per usual today. It's a shame but by no means his fault that we lost a game. Normally he is our catalyst and everything goes through him, we struggled with that and never got enough clear-cut chances. You could see how frustrated he was that he didn't turn up for what was his biggest game of his career so far you could say. His career's biggest game will no longer be Boro as it was before KO, that is Coventry, I'm sure he will step up. Big time.
