Flitney- 7. Didn't have a lot to do Lee - 9. Was execllent, looked a natural right back Richards -8. Solid, capped a good performance with a goal. A run in the team seems to be doing him good. Frampton -8. Like richards, solid. unlucky with the own goal. Martin -7. Had a decent game. Oli -5. No comment. Works hard but lets be honest. Montrose -6. Okay. Showed flashes of quality. Whelpdale - 6. Didnt have much effect on the game Payne - 8. He's gunna be key in our promotion push. Weston -9. My motm. Finally showed the weston we know and love. Kedwell -8. Execllent again. Doesnt stop running. S. Payne - 7. Good impact when brought on. Great goal. Fish - Not much time
Pretty much agree with everything there, but 9 for Lee is a bit too generous I think. Second half, going forward definitely worthy of that 9. But defensively his positioning was not too great first half, you could see Hess getting frustrated along with Framps and he got skinned for their first goal. Malone looks a talent though to be fair. Oli was better than a 5 for me, won a lot of headers and 2nd ball, linked quite well first half then ran out of gas. His lack of fitness was evident and that's when he started giving up ball, and people jumping on his back. Lastly I was very impressed with Richards too. But when playing ball on the floor first half, his touch was met with many gasps and more than once he got caught out! But agreed, run in the team is doing him well and he's definitely improving a lot playing with a real experienced centre half alongside him.
i agree with everything you've said here lad. thought oli did very well given he hasnt played a competitive game in ages, and lee certainly was out of position a lot for a fb but as cover we could do a lot worse and again he hasnt played there a lot so easily forgiven espically after his runs down the right! richards for me has been a stand out since getting his starting role, one of the most consistant players on the pitch in that time, along with jackman, whose only bad game was when he was thrown in at lb
