Kenny 6 - made good saves to keep us in the match and was unable to stop either goal

Gabbidon 7 - best cb today, kept holt and jackson under control

Ferdinand 6 - solid display yet looked like he want fully recovered

Young 6 - made several promising runs up the side but was beaten several times when defending

Hill 7 - good display from Hill, arguably the best ive seen from him going forwards

Derry 5 - not bad but not great, shows a good reading of the game but his body has finally caught up with his age

Barton 6 -played well and took his goal well. As for the sending off, in my view it personally wasnt but as he was sent off, Johnson should have gone with him.

Faurlin 7 - Usual great performance from Faurlin, provided a great ball up the wing to Hill for the goal and looked a cut above the Norwich midfield

Taarabt 8 - Arguably the best player on the pitch. Unselfish going forwards, cameback to help defend, showed off some of his skills from the Championship and was unlucky not to score from a free kick

Mackie 5 - Poor today from Mackie but in fairness he and helguson were both getting hacked on and off the ball with no decisions given. Had little to do and didnt run at the defenders to hustle them as much as he normally does

Helguson 6 - Much like Mackie, getting fouled on and off the ball with nothing given, had no real chances to score

    Subs

SWP 8 - As one of Wright-Phillips stronger critics I was surprised with the way he played today. He actually attacked defenders and wasnt afraid to use his pace to outstrip them. If he keeps on playing like this, he'll earn his place back in the starting 11

Macheda n/a - not enough time or touches on the pitch to form a rating

    Manager

Warnock 6 - tactics and team selection have been off over the last couple of weeks including today. His half time team speech obviosuly worked as the R's came out and were the best side for much of the 2nd half. Taking off Taarabt though was a mistake as it removed much of our creative output. SWP only got space because Norwich had to double mark Taarabt constantly.

    Ref

Swarbrick n/a - to give a rating means a performance can be understood or evaluated. But seeing as nearly every decision was incorrect with all the major ones being wrong, to give him a 0 is more than he honestly deserves. R's fans need not worry about him reffing at our games this season, as after the referee's meeting on wednesday, he'll find himself down at league 1/2 games for the rest of the season

Why does Warnock feel the need to take off Taarabt even when he is playing well? Makes no sense. Warnock - you don't know what you're doing!

Warnock said he wants to bring in 3 or 4 new players. After watching that crap he should be looking to bring in 8 or 9. We need a keeper, a left back (bridge) 2 CB (samba, bassong) 2 midfielders ( anyone who can pass the ball) 2 forwards ( defoe, zamora). Its going to cost a lot of money but its that or we are back into the championship next season.

    Kenny- 6 Very poor kicking
    Young- 7 Reliable as ever
Gabbidon- 7 Good when the team was out-numbered
    Ferdinand-7 Same as Gabbidon
Hill-7 Good and solid. Great run for the goal
Barton- 7 Looked to be playing well and a good goal (assuming the ref was conned as he claimed)
    Derry- 5 Poor
Faurlin- 7 Played reasonably well...great pass to Hill leading up to the goal
Mackie- 5 Worked hard, but was poor on the ball
Taarabt- 8 Best player on the pitch and unlucky with his free kick
Helguson- 7 Worked hard despite being constantly fouled

SWP- 8 Really attacked them when he came on
    Macheda- N/A
    Campbell- N/A

Warnock - 4 Another terrible substitution. Take off a tiring HH for Mackeda? Yes! Bring on DJ when we need a goal? Yes! But why the **** take off our most creative player when we need a goal?!! Take off Hill, Derry, even ****ing Paddy? We needed a goal!!! The clock is ticking for our Neil....2 points from the last 24!!

I personally thought the team we put out against arsenal was a lot more mobile than todays team. i just wish we had players with faster speeds of thought as we only ever have hh in the box and we never anticipate or react at corners. Adel was the best player on the park today. to take him off was silly. if only we had players clever enough to read his game!

Agree with all scores here. Tarbs and SWP best players by far. Cant really fault anyone else cos all seemed fine though Mackie was poor.
Think the next 2 weeks are gonna define our season.
