Let me just say this before i get started, we were **** and i really cannot believe we managed to win this game, possibly the worse performance i have seen in a long time from leeds. I thought we are gonna get going soon but we never did. McCarthy - 8 - Our best player i feel, did really well and made some good saves, its much more comfortable to have him between the sticks. I wish we could keep him as second choice keeper fighting for 1st choice. Connolly - 4 - What the **** was he doing today, was so bad defensively it was a joke, easily the worse game of his that i have seen. Saying that though he did quite well in forward positions Kisnorbo - 7 - Only one that looked capable of defending in our back line. Won headers well and made few mistakes O'Dear - 4 - Constantly out of position and losing his man, regardless of whether he got a knock on the head or not, i've NEVER seen a CB back out of a header especially in that way. I ****ing hate this guy and can't understand why people defend him. Hes not good enough White - 5 - Defensively was out of position a lot and Sam helped him a bit, maybe missing pugh at LM but i really think he needs to improve defensively. Did well going forward (I dont understand why he always seems to do 360 turns with the ball) but i still see this as a problem area, we need a LB to be defending first, attacking second. Snoddy - 6 - Didn't have a great game but took his goals well, especially the second one. I think people are sorta starting to figure him out a little bit but what he did do well was he ghosted away from his man quite a few times to find space which i always rate highly in players Howson - 5 - Was poor really. Did a good few little touches and used his body well in instances to guide the ball out of play (covering for white a lot as well). But overall on the ball he was poor, needs to get back to his former self. Although he did work space well for his shot. Clayton - 5 - Also poor especially in the first half. Did much better towards the end of the game but his overall 90 mins was poor. He lacked the creativity that we have almost become a custom to seeing from him. Sam - 6/7 - did well and was almost the only person doing anything in the midfield for especially the first half but then towards the end of the game, he looked a little unfit to me and was caught flat footed as well. A good cross to find snoddy but i sense he doesnt really pick a player or even a point the penalty area to aim for, more just kicks the ball. Keogh - 5 - Another player who was poor again. Didnt really do much although he does somehow invite fouls on him McCormack - 5/6 - Didnt really do too much and is definitely starting to lose confidence in himself. His freekick woulda been good if it was towards the side of the goalkeeper, there goalkeeper could only save things when it was straight at him. Becchio - 4 - Was poor when he came on although didnt really get a chance to do much, he loses the ball too easily for me Nunez - 6 - Did quite well and livened the game up a little bit, im unsure where he was supposed to be playing though. Lees - 6 - Much better than O'Dear in every single way, for example he doesnt back out of headers, his pace is much needed at CB and i think it was the wrong decision not to start him Overall - We were poor and im astounded at how we managed to win the game. Good taken efforts by snoddy but if Burnley were any good they would been about 3-0 up by half time. we were there for the taking but we got a bit fortunate (which is a change). All are welcome to agree / disagree. I sense most will disagree
I thought Becchio did well, won a few headers and got about them as usual. I'd go back to 4-2-3-1 or have Becchio & McCormack for the next game.
nah, i dont think becchio has done anything to warrant a start. I mean keogh hasnt played well the last couple games but i still think becchio doesnt look worth his spot.
