Greetings chaps My updates on this thread are going to be a bit slower for a few weeks. Work is taking a lot of my time at the moment. I'll still be updating, but probably just once or twice a week instead of every day or two. Updates will return to normal soon I hope. Regards, Lardy
Just a quick update on these profiles; I'm currently archiving them on a new forum, with expanded space so more information can be added in the future. I'll be resuming the creation of new profiles from 454 onwards and posting them here as well as their new home. Resumption will probably be in a couple of months. Regards, Lardy
I just went through the first page before I found the man I was looking for. Man named Hetod. I got one of those Cameron books years back with every player in every match, and while the thirties was a bit before my time, Herod played a few seasons with us, and popped up seemingly interminably with own goals. He's sort of a favourite of mine now - I wonder if he got the sort of abuse Simon Church got!!
Edwin Redvers Baden Herod (player 28) - A hero of Charlton's back 5 during the 1920's. 213 league games in seven seasons, then sold to Brentford for £1,500 (a huge sum back then) which kept the Club afloat shortly before our first ever promotion. Earns extra points just for having Redvers as a middle name
