    ⚽️ Three nominees ⚽️

    One award

Knockaert, Gayle or Wood - who should win Sky Bet Championship Player of the Year?

All 3 are in the running according to Sky.

    Who would get your award?

For me it's Wood. Without him Leeds would be probably outside of the top 6.

Ritchie has probably been better than all of them.

Ritchie would be above Gayle. To be honest Shelvey prob would be. Wood has been excellent so has Knockaert. I've enjoyed watching Swift, Cairney and Sessegnon.

Given the trend to ignore the vote, I'll go for Shola.

No coincidence that the Magpies are flying high since he arrived and took his place in the nest.

Ritchie for me, if Gayle hadn't been sidelined by injury he would be way ahead of Wood.

Gayle and Wood have scored loads of goals.

Knockaert has scored goals, got assists and been hardest working player in brighton team in terms of closing down winning ball back etc <ok>

The more I look at thsoe names, the more I think all 3 are undeserving of the award as good as all three have been. There have been better performers. As usual keepers, defenders and defensive midfielders are completely overlooked. Its a bit silly really when they are just as important. Its like the greatest footballer of all time argument. Its always a number 10 or striker. Yet the greatest and most influential footballers I've watched have nearly always been liberos, centre halfs or holding midfielders. Franco Baresi being the greatest of all.

And Rafa has lost Haidara down the back of the sofa because there's a hole in his pocket.
