I think they meant to call it "Which LCFC Player is Player of the Year". http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...your-Premier-League-player-of-the-season.html Tough to pick just one of our lot. Team of the year has to be in the bag, as does Manager.
Dunno why Vardy and Ozil are better odds then Mahrez - he has all but been awarded the prize by every commentator and newspaper but will end up being Harry Kane as he is the English savior. Young player of the year will be Delli Ali who will also win goal of the season. Team of the year will be Tottenham as they have people on the FA board. Manager of the year will probably end up being Eddie Howe as the same people have a big hardon for him. I am very jaded as you can probably tell.
Mahrez and Vardy have to be favourites in the whole divison Mahrez just edges it imo but Vardy's record might see him nick it
Mahrez is storming the vote at the bottom of the page, 5,000+ votes and he has 89% of them. Although he should, he won't, although he has been the reason that Mahrez and Vardy have had so much acclaim this year, Midfield players have a tough time winning these sort of things unless they can score as well. You would think they would consider him for a special award with just how far ahead he is in the tackles and interceptions tables.
It'll be a Leicester player that will win PotS, but it'll be interesting to see if the best player in England is the same as the Leicester fans player of the season. Most 'neutrals' don't see many Leicester games so only see the goals, which invariably come from or via Mahrez, so that's who we see as your best. You can't vote for a DM, ask Hodgson he got derided for it.
If Mahrez continues like he is, he'll get POTY. Vardy will haveto settle for the golden boot If Leicester don't get FAs player and manager of the year, we'll riot.
Kante for me, as he's the heart of the best side in the country, but would also argue strongly for both Mahrez and Vardy. Any of those 3 could win it, although I do agree that Mahrez and Vardy are the more obvious candidates because of attacking contribution. However, I think Kante could become a world class attacking midfielder if he wanted to. Hell, he's such a superhero I'd fancy him as goalkeeper.
I think Kante will be the one that will actually be the hardest to hold onto in the summer, hes been great, arguably, every game this season. No team in the league has a midfielder like Kante, we should be slapping a price on him similar to Mahrez, if not more.
If you sign mahrez, you win every midfield battle that you ever play in. We don't need the money. He is on a long contract. £60m. Make it ridiculous.
I don't see Kante getting it as he wasn't even noticed by pundits or the media until halfway through the season. That's not to say he wasn't very good but he was and still is doing all the grunt work and the simple ugly things in football that there is rarely praise for. Mahrez wins it for me but Vardy is a close 2nd. Young player of the year I really don't know? Ali has only been good as of late and nobody really stands out for me.
I think a lot of Leicestershire would agree Josh. The work he gets through is phenomenal. He protects the defence with his tackling, shadowing and interceptions which in turn allows Mahrez more freedom to stay further forward (though he has helped Simpson out a lot more this season). Kante has been the missing part of the jigsaw for us. We have had hard working midfielders in the past (Bobby Kellard, Willie Carlin et al) but nothing like this guy. Vardy is international class, as is Mahrez, but this boy Kante is quickly heading to be a worldy.
