Rondon - without his goals, ability to hold the ball up, and overall play, we'd be relegated. Schar - so calm on the ball, and with 3 of the back, brings another threat on the ball moving forward. Can't wait for him and Lejeune to have an extended run together. Perez - our player with the most technical ability and he never stops running. Scores important goals. Special mention: Almiron - although he's not picked up the direct goals/assists himself he's completely changed the way we play for the better.
Gone with Schar. Always rate a good defender. A lot more pressure on them than forwards particularly in Rafa teams.
Went for Schar - but a tough call Think Hayden needs some credit too - wants to be away (for completely legitimate reasons) but has still continued to put in some great shifts since coming back into the team
A few to pick from which include Schar, Perez, Rondon and Longstaff. Looking at it over the season and the impact each player has made over the season I would go for Rondon. At times he’s seemed a tad lethargic but i could pick fault with the others for different points over the season as well. In quite a few games he has been absolutely immense including by way of example last night where quite a few L’pool fans say he gave VVD his hardest game of the season. If Longstaff had played longer and at the same standard then i would have gone for him.
