This is a really tricky one as a good case could be made for at least seven players but here is my top four. 1. John Nolan Not so consistent in the second half of the season but majestic in the first half, controlling the game and adding in a few goals. His extra touch of class gives him the vote for me. 2. Abu Ogogo Captain fantastic who is everywhere in midfield. The heartbeat of the team and what a shame about his season ending prematurely. 3. Tote Nsiala Commanding and consistent and has developed as a real leader. 4. Shaun Whalley Massive improvement from last season with both goals and assists. With apologies to Henderson, Godfrey and Sadler who would all have been big contenders in any other season.
1 nolan when he plays well town play well 2 ogogo non stop energy nulified so many attacks 3 Rodman i did not rate him last year but transformed this year but has faded 4 Toto real presence with telescopic legs but could have put so many there so this was tough
Tough one. Sadler, Nsiala, Brown, Rodman, Whalley, Ogogo, Nolan, Godfrey, Payne, Henderson, Morris all have had great moments. Discounting loanees I would probably have to go with Nolan, Sadler, Nsiala or Ogogo. Nolan probably gets it for what he has created but inconsistency and bottling a shot or three weakens his case slightly.
