So it's been a difficult season this. But who are three players that have done the most to earn POTY? My opinion doesn't count for much as I've not seen many live games (none at home). But here's my pick anyway... 1/ Jarrod Bowen. An excellent first team season from Jarrod. 14 goals from a young player who wouldn't even have been given a start if we'd have had a decent squad to choose from. Best moment? His Dad injuring his ankle in all the excitement of his lads first, first team goal. Jarrod got his chance and took it. Good lad. 2/ Allan McGregor. I owe Greegs because before this season, I was very critical of him, but he's earned a fair few points for us this season. I hope he stays but I can't see it. 3/ Seb Larsson. Turns out Sunlan fans know **** all about football. As others have said on here, I hope he decides to stay and I fully agree he should be given the captaincy for next season. That might just encourage him to hang around? I'm pretty sure Abel Hernandez would have won POTY if it weren't for the injury. Max Clark is very promising. give him a proper contract Ehab you ****ing imbecile.
Id say McGregor probably deserves it overall, kept us in a lot of games with some fantastic stops. Wouldn't be surprised if Bowen won it for the positivity factor of being one of the few who've been good throughout in his first full season. Larsson has had a strong season as well, consistent 7/10 performer which can't be said for 90% of our squad this season
McGregor and Bowen are the standouts for sure. Maybe Larsson third, or Irvine for his efforts in February and March.
I'd go so far as to say he'd actually gone from strength to strength to strength to strength, but never mind. This is an agreeable forum for people to engage in discussion about soccer in an appropriate and adult fashion. No need for insults, buddy. Y'know what, Bob, I like you. I really do. Erik xxxxx
That sounds like a lot more fun than another visit to Derby County or Reading for a drab 0-0 or a hammering.
