1. Suarez 2. Johnson 3. Gerrard Suarez & Johnson pick themselves imo. Struggled for third; it was between Gerrard & Enrique but have a felling that Lucas may force his way in there. your thoughts?
1. Suarez 2. Gerrard 3. Sterling Suarez for goals, gerrard for assists, sterling because he has done so well for his first season in the 1st team
1. Suarez 2. Johnson 3. Joe Cole Edit: the third could be anyone from Agger, Skrtel, Enrique or Sterling at present. Reina and Lucas could well add their names into the mix come the end of the season but anyone of these eight (since the mighty Joe Cole's left) could be in any one of the three positions. I suspect Suarez will remain at number one though
a few players could put them selves in there. Reina, is his form returning, he could help in getting us vital points for his saves for a top 6 ish finish yet. Agger, solid at the back could chip in with some vital points that would make him a contender. Skrtl, same as Agger solid at the back and could chip in with some vital goals or clearances in games. as things stand yes Suarez by a long shot, but others could chip in, in dif positions, and be just as vital.
Skrtel has been consistent but something still doesnt sit right with me about him? Maybe it is the clumsiness or the brute force he always tries to show? I know we need an enforcer but sometimes he does it at all the wrong times. I think it is Suarez, Johnson, and probably Agger/Gerrard/Sterling after that.
Quite a few with Sterling in their top 3. He doesn't make mine but that's not to say that he hasn't done well for his age.
Suarez Johnson Skrtel to me in that order, Suarez picks himself, Johnson has been great in either side of defence, always been a goal threat and not a liability, Skrtel and Agger both playing well but I give the nod to Skrtel since hes scored more and otherwise theres not much between them. His finish against Fulham definitely surprised me
Skrtels had to adjust this season a lot though. Of all the players being asked to play a more passing orientated game you'd have thought he'd have struggled as much as anyone but actually (a couple of games aside) he's been excellent at it. His reading of the game is massively improved as is his control. What you tend not to see is just how much ground the centre backs have to cover either side of them in our system. With the full backs pushing so far forward so frequently the centre backs are almost covering two positions each at times, and that is a very difficult thing to do. He rightly took the honour of Player of the Season for 2012 and has pretty much carried on from there this season for me. Even the best centre backs in the world can be made to look clumsy these days mate, forwards go down so easily it literally has become an almost entirely non contact sport. You try marking a Prem standard striker without being able to go near him (unless you're marking Suarez of course when you can stamp on his face and get away with it)
All the above have a shout i would throw Wisdom in there to he is strong and relaxed on the ball well made up with him But Suarez hands down for goals alone not to mention his work rate
I think a lot of it is my favoritism towards Agger and not seeing as many of his weaknesses. Or it could be Skrtel handing in a transfer request in my career mode in FIFA.
Even virtual Skrtel knows how ****ty Liverpool is! Really though, that's like when your girlfriend has a dream you're cheating on her and she gets mad at the next morning.
Suarez Johnson Enrique Jose's been a revelation in the LW role and recaptured his form. It's no coincidence that we became more consistant, solid at the back and more balanced going forward when he started playing well again - even if he was moved back to LB.
Even Djimi Traore would hand a transfer request in with you as manager NB: queue a certain poster with Traore in his name
