Right, so you reply with a rating out of 10 for each player listed below. In a day or so, I'll work out the average rating and we'll have a Not606 Official Player Of the Season ... so far! Just a bit of fun:

    Peter Gulacsi
    Adriano Basso
    Liam Rosenior
    Joe Dudgeon
    Andy Dawson
    James Chester
    Jack Hobbs
    Robbie Brady
    Robert Koren
    Tom Cairney
    Corry Evans
    Paul McKenna
    Matt Fryatt
    Aaron McLean

I won't count him in the rating because I don't think he's played enough games but you can add a rating for:

    Cameron Stewart

    Here are mine:

    Peter Gulacsi - 5
    Adriano Basso - 8
    Liam Rosenior - 8
    Joe Dudgeon - 7
    Andy Dawson - 6
    James Chester - 9
    Jack Hobbs - 7
    Robbie Brady - 5
    Robert Koren - 8
    Tom Cairney - 6
    Corry Evans - 7
    Paul McKenna - 9
    Matt Fryatt - 7

Peter Gulacsi - 6 - Improving but still hsa a long way to go before i consider him our number one.
Adriano Basso - 7 - Still think he has performed better overall, think we should get him onthe pitch asap.
Liam Rosenior - 8 - If he had more of an end product he would never have left the EPL.
Joe Dudgeon - 7 - One for the future, looked to improve from the start of the season.
Andy Dawson - 6.5 - Steady as we have come to expect from him.
James Chester - 9 - Absolute different class.
Jack Hobbs - 7 - Still looks shaky at times and should win more for someone of his height but sitll played well.
Robbie Brady - 6 - No end product.
Robert Koren - 8 - Looks a class act all round, if only we had tried him in the centre sooner.
Tom Cairney - 6 - Same as Brady.
Corry Evans - 7 - If he gets the inconsistencies out of his game he would be a very good player.
Paul McKenna - 7.5 - Definately played very well recently, but was poor ar the start and that can't be ignored.
Matt Fryatt - 7.5 - Same as Mckenna really, if he had the confidence i had now at the start we would be top two.
Aaron McLean - 7 - Work horse, just needs to keep the goals coming.
Cameron Stewart - 9 - Looked amazing since he has come back, just needs to keep that going.

Peter Gulacsi - 5 Having made awful clangers at the beginning of the season, he seems to have got better. However, i still think he is dodgy. And rather him be on the bench.
Adriano Basso - 7 wasn't in the team right away, once in it began a 9 unbeaten run which was much down to him. Cracking keeper.
Liam Rosenior - 7 Solid defensively and gives us another attacking threat from the back, which he has shown this season. Absolute quality player, best RB at City?
Joe Dudgeon - 8 I give him an 8 due to the fact he was pure garbage at the start, but how he has turned it around. Looks hungry and up for it every time he plays. One for the future.
Andy Dawson - 6 Not featured much, and when he has, he has shown from the team. Experienced head in the team.
James Chester - 8 throw whatever you like at him and he will come out on top.
Jack Hobbs - 9 has had a lot of stick in past, but I think if it wasn't for him Chester wouldn't look as good as he is. Hobbs is calm on the ball and leads well from the back.
Robbie Brady - 6 got the skills....thats it. had one fluke goal vs Reading and not done a lot since then.
Robert Koren - 9 in the center of the park Koren is premiership class, he's Hull City's version on David Silva. always looking for the ball and always looking to attack. also, a main source of goals for us this season.
Tom Cairney - 6 not seen much of him to rate.
Corry Evans - 8 Since been in the team, its been hard to shift him. He works soo hard for the team, plays out of his skin week in week out. always gets stuck in.
Paul McKenna - 7 proving his doubters wrong, and his experience is rubbing off well on the younger players
Matt Fryatt - 8 Again, proving his early season critics wrong, continuing to score goals at this level and looking dangerous.
Aaron McLean - 7.5 - Not scoring as much as we would like but he definitely puts a shift in everytime he plays. Tireless.

    If you wanna include Stewart
Cam Stewart - been a revalation in our attacking ability since he has come back, looks stronger and looks better. His first time passing is spot on, and decision making is a lot better. Certainly our magic man. Hope he stays fit.

Peter Gulacsi - 6 Steadily improving from early season form
Adriano Basso - 8 Very good experienced keeper, helped us on that 9 game unbeaten run in Autumn
Liam Rosenior - 9 What more can you say? An excellent player at this level with plenty of experience
Joe Dudgeon - 8 Improving all the time, one for the future.
Andy Dawson - 7 Iffy game against Burnley but his experience has been welcome at times.
James Chester - 10 One of the best defenders in the league, wouldn't be suprised to see him in the top flight in a couple of years.
Jack Hobbs - 8 Takes unfair stick. Improving all the time and a big part of our defence
Robbie Brady - 7 Looked great early on in the season, form dropped recently, needs to stop doing the fancy stuff as much
Robert Koren - 9 Come into his own in the middle of the park, a match winner for us.
Tom Cairney - 7 Different player to the one we saw last season, still learning the game though
Corry Evans - 7 Improving by the game, shaky at times earlier in the season but has grown into the team recently.
Paul McKenna - 9 Like Hobbs, lots of unfair criticism at times and although no Ashbee is doing his best to add experience to the midfield. Jimmy who?
Matt Fryatt - 8 Found his goal scoring form recently after fluffing several chances earlier on in the season. Back to the Fryatt of last season, long may it continue.
Aaron McLean - 8 Works very hard for the team and after some horror misses last season has found some goal scoring form and is starting to win fans round. Won't be prolific by any means but a good member of the team.
Cameron Stewart - 8 Looks like he's never been away. Making the same dangerous runs and crosses we saw before his injury. Like Chester wouldn't be suprised to see him in the top flight in the next couple of years.

Player of the season is always a difficult thing to quantify because a lot depends on the number of games ewach player plays. For exanple Cam Stewart has had an enormous effect since his return, but how do you compare that against someone like Liam Rosenior who has arguably had less of an effect but has been consistently goos since the beginning of the season?

I thin the best way is to average out the performances so that the ones that have been ever present or at least have played more games get a fairer weighting.

In that case I would mark as follows in descending order:

James Chester - 9 Has lost a little form since Pearson quit, mainly due, I think to the new formation that Barmby likes and the fact Gulasci, although improving, has been far from trustworty behind him. He is now showing signs of returning to his best though and has uptil the West Ham game, been far and away the best player.

Liam Rosenior - 8 Has been the very model of consistency this season, carrying on from where he left off lat term. I still think he is a natural leader and whether he likes it or not should be made captain. Far from diminshing his game I think it will take it to the next level.

Robert Koren - 8 He has not been consistent but that has not been his fault as he has only recently been played in his best position. Luckily for him Barmby likes a formation that allows him to play his natural game but still maintains the solidity and shape when we don't have the ball. In the last few games he has simply been the matchwinner.

Jack Hobbs - 7.5 I have been one of Hobbs's biggest critics and I still think he has his limitations. However, in his quiet way he has worked hard this season and has found a level of consistency that has cemented his place in the side. Whatever he produces he never fails to give 110% every game and which fan could as for more than that?

Paul McKenna - 7 Any player deserves half a season to settle into a new club, even if they play every game. Some you are lucky with and settle right in. He has shown in the last half a dozen games what a valuable player, even at his advance age!, that he is. His role alongside Evans sitting in front of the back four is now the standard and he looks rejeuvenated there.

Corry Evans - 7 I've read some people post things about this lad that remind me of Ian Ashbee in that they say they never notice him, or he never seems to do anything. For me that is a factor of the role he plays. If he is doing his job properly, you won't notice him because he does the dirty things that keeps the machine ticking over. He had a slow start because he let himself go a bit in the Summer. But like McKenna is not looking really good in front of the back four and is even managing to make runs into the opponents box as well. He is one of my favourite players to watch.

Matty Fryatt - 7 Matty is a frustrating player to me. He oozes ability even though he lacks natural pace. But he also is a moody kunt. For the first dozen games this season if there had been a viable alternative he would surely have been dropped. But surprisingly, now that Pearson has run off, he seems a new player again and is scoring goals once more.

Aaron McLean - 6.5 I really hate giving the lat a lower score than Fryatt because he is almost the exact opposite. He has a poor first touch, needs too much time to get his shot off, never stops running and is 120% commited to the team. Love him to bits and we really miss his huistle and bustle when he doesn't play, but his limitations in doing what his position requires are clear for all to see.

Cam Stewart - 6 As I said I don't think it's fair comparing a player who has played all season with one that has only played a couple of games and that is the only reason I have marked him down. His pace has had a big effect on our attack and I am over the moon with him and hope he stays with us for many years. However, if i'm being picky, I still think his final product needs improving. This was exemplified against Leicester when he skipped past the full-back and shot tamely at the goalie when Fryatt was waiting for the square pass un-marked in the 6 yard box. If he continues as he has started this season he will be player of the season come May.

Joe Dudgeon - 6 I REALLY like the lad and he has progressed a steep learning curve since he came in. Wingback is a highly tecnical role and a very difficult one to play well. He is already very good going forward but has been cought out of position a few times when we lose psoession. This he will learn with experience. This time next season people will be talking about him in the same way people talk about Rosenior now. I am sure of it.

Adriano Basso - 6 I am marking him down a little simply because of his injury problems. Sounds unfair but at his age he cannot recover from injury at the same speed as a goalie in his twenties, as has been proven with his lingering tendonitis. That being said he is a very good goalie when fit and I wish we had had him earlier in his career.

Andy Dawson - 6 Legend in every sense of the word. He and Ash deserve to be remembered alongside the likes of Chillo, Waggy, Deano and Nick in the Hull City Hall of Fame. BUT, he needs to gradually fade into the background now. Had a very good game against Leicester for his comeback. But still got booked and at times looked worryingly dead legged. Dudgeon is the future.

Robbie Brady - 5 I think this kid over-flows with talent and I can clearly see why Utd don't intend on selling him. That being said of all the youngsters we have playing for us he is the least developed and also the most immature. Like Stewart he needs to improve his final ball into the box. Unlike Stewart I think he is a long way off consistently doing that. He will need at least another full season before being anywhere near good enough for the Premiership and he has a lot to learn in that time as well. Great potential though!

Tom Cairney - 5 Tom is the epitomy of inconsistency. He swings from International class creative midfielder for crab-like, meek, also-ran who never takes a risk. The annoying thing is I think he is in denial as well. He needs someone to sit him down and tell him he aint as good as he thinks he is and that he has to produce his best week-inweek-out. Very frustraing player.

Peter Gulasci - 4.5 Surely our achilles heel. I know he's young and I know he has improved recently, but I still see basic floors in his technique, particularly in the air and in letting his back 4 know where he is and what he is going to do. If he improves significantly over the next 4 games then all well and good. Otherwise we MUST replace him with an experienced keeper in Jan because I cannot see us succeeding this season with him at his current level.

I would say a reasonable assessment, bit hash in places, but not far off the mark.

    Adriano Basso - 7
    Liam Rosenior - 8

    Jack Hobbs - 7
    Robbie Brady - 6
Robert Koren - 9- (current player of the season so far-different class)
    Tom Cairney - 6
    Corry Evans - 7
Paul McKenna - 8 (most improved so far)
    Matt Fryatt - 7
    Aaron McLean - 6

Peter Gulacsi - 6 - He's had some bad games but a lot moe good ones, unfortunatele once the reputation is there it's hard to get rid of.
Adriano Basso - 6 - Good solid 'keeper but his injuries are too frequent and you don't win awards by not playing
Liam Rosenior - 8 - Best RB in the league
Joe Dudgeon - 7 - I thought until he was dropped he was brilliant, playing as well as Rosenior but for whatever reason he seems to be out of the team now
Andy Dawson - 6 - His performance against Leicester earns him a 6 that might have been lower otherwise, I definitely prefer Dudgeon overall.
James Chester - 10 - The lad is PL quality, I don't think there's a better defender in this league.
Jack Hobbs - 9 - He gets criticised and people make out he is 'shaky' but I don't know where this comes from, he doesn't make mistakes.
Robbie Brady - 6 - He's lost some form but that doesn't mean he's no good. His crossing is better than anyone else in the team and he was on fire earlier in the season.
Robert Koren - 9 - Played nearly every game and had an impact in all of them, I think the position he is played in gets over-hyped. He seems quality anywhere to me.
Tom Cairney - 5 - Strov summed this up well. He was doing well early on and only dropped due to injury, you get the impression he thinks he has a right to play though.
Corry Evans - 7 - Gives his best every week, very consistent and I'm sure the attacking influence will gradually come into his game.
Paul McKenna - 7 - I'm not convinced he was so bad at the start of the season, he is a bit more streetwise than most of our players and keeps hold of the ball very well.
Matt Fryatt - 6 - Earlier on in the season he was worth a 4, now worth an 8 so I've gone halfway. Just needs to make sure he doesn't lost confidence again.
Aaron McLean - 7 - Consistent every week, always puts himself about and carries more of a goal threat than some people believe.

Cameron Stewart - 10 - I think if a winger beats his man once a game he's done well but Stewart does it every single time and he's started to put some good balls in too. The ideal winger.

i notice you say that a lot, i think you would be the easiest manager in the league to please...it depends how much of the play you have etc, but if i had a winger run at a full back 10 times, and only beat him once, hed be in for extra traning on the sunday ;)

garcia in our promotion season, did it in a different way, with neat footwork and early delivery....we havent had many..
weve played a lot of football over the last few years without recognised wingers...but if you get one whos style is to run at a fullback like stewart, then youve got to hope for better then a 10% success ratio, luckily he has that so not sure where this debate is going <laugh>
