Yes pop pickers its that time again! Despite this being instantly participative democracy at work voting numbers have plummeted over the last couple of months, so to spice it up a bit no names this time, just squad numbers in a random order (i.e. Green isn't first in the list!). I'm sure with our deep love of the team we have memorized all the numbers so this just adds to the fun! Enjoy! For legal reasons I should add that there will be a short delay before the poll appears and the voting booth opens. The site only allows 15 choices and we have played at least 19 players this month. I have excluded numbers 25, 20, 35 and 3 on grounds of not a hope of them getting a vote or very limited game time. This decision is final and set in stone. Booth closes in 5 days.
And we have to chose which one has performed best over the past month? Well Phillips hasnt been as bad as the others and was by all accounts pretty decent for half an hour at Blackpool. I'll go for that
Interesting, a grand total of 8 votes and this had sunk to page 5 of the board.........I suppose the enthusiasm drops when we play poorly and don't win, and perhaps I overestimated the ability of the loyal QPR fan to know the numbers the players wear or look them up on the World Wide Web. Still, saves me five minutes a month in future, as the poll will be replaced with a streamlined process which will give us a definitive answer within minutes (perhaps seconds) from now on. Poll closes at 5.42 p.m today.
#7 for me. Can't vote for a defender this time, or an attacker, because our December form really doesn't warrant it (not enough goals scored or stopped). So it's a midfielder, and that means #17 (who missed a game through suspension) or #7, and he's been the most positive and most productive of a fairly average bunch. Might still have gone for 17 if the suspension hadn't kicked in.
No 17 clearly for me. The oiled machine of the team, he's all over the place, and if he loses the ball he tries like hell to get it back straight away. No 9 a good No 2. No 7 has been good but only in patches, he seems to blow hot and cold. The Leicester game was my first live one of the season - hardly saw our No 7 first half, well given he was on the other side of the pitch mostly, but the eyesite ain't that bad!
Went for No 1 on the assumption it is Green and on the basis that despite acting the fool in not playing to the whistle (with others) and trying to stop Reid from scoring at Forest, he has been the most consistant performer all season, he single handedly kept us in the game at Blackpool....
