Not a great season .Early contenders were Little Jaydan Clarke and McKenzie. Then Morris showed he was still a good keeper. Then next player who has been good has been Gale. For me player of season Morris McKenzie Gale
Yeah easily Morris for me, I've not even got a doubt about that, nailed on. No particular order but also agree with Gale and McKenzie Top three aside... I've taken recently as well to Max Clark
I voted for Robbie McKenzie as he was consistently good across the season. The Cat has been very good but he also was second choice for multiple stints through the season so doesn't reach the threshold for me. I also voted for Robbie's strike against Walsall as our goal of the season.
The 3 named are the only 3 contenders and Gale is nailed on as young player of the year, but to just be in the conversation for the player of the year award when you have only played 18 (?) matches is a huge indictment on our other players. So for me it is a 2 horse race Morris and MacKenzie, and I have to give it to Morris' his saves have kept us in matches and we may have been even closer to the bottom without him, whilst Macca has been our best outfield player by a distance, he has been less important in 'key match winning' moments than the cat. He does definitely get goal of the season. Lets not forget that Morris and MacKenzie probably both started the season as probable bench warmers as 2nd choice keeper and a jack of all trades, offering good cover they are now the first 2 names on the team sheet, the others should hold their heads in shame.
