I haven't seen a forum football manager thread recently, so heres one. You're given 30m in the summer, you must however only replace the players in the squad with players in the same position. So if you want to bring Neymar in, then Suarez/Sturridge etc.. will have to go out. If you want to buy Mexes, you'd have to get rid of a defender. (No, I'm not suggesting we could get either Neymar or Mexes)
Ya, easy one for me, I still think he will be a good defender but not sure he can cut it in the prem. Pauletta mk II I think Shelvey- Eriksen would be an easy swtich Spearing- Mulumbu.
this is kind of dead simple. 20million is a reputed transfer kitty prior to sales. 17million fee agree for carroll, though god knows if anyone in their right mind would buy him. 10mil max for downing, more like 6. add in say shelvey for 7mil and coates for maybe 4. that gives me a pot of 50mil or so... out = carra, coates, downing, carroll, shelvey. thats 5 squad spots opened up for rodgers which sounds about right. in, he'll want a cb who can play left full too. I'd buy erikkson in the morning for 20mil... then the rest will be sensible priced players who will make a step up to play for us... a striker perhaps.
Thing is, I think we are short on numbers so if we had an opening budget of £30m I'd expect at least one more arrival than departure. I would sell Reina (if he 'does' want to go), Skrtel (he's a ****), Coates and possibly Downing whilst he's worth something. I reckon that could raise £36m (£12m + £10m + £6m + £8m) giving us £66m to spend. Buy Bergovic (£8m), De Vrij (£10m) and Erikson (£20m) leaving £24m for CB (to replace Carragher), DM and forward too. I'd expect Shelvey to at least go on loan along with Suso. Move Kelly to CB. #fantasyfootballatitsfinest

FFS... I'm not going into it now as I can't be arsed on my phone In short, he's had one good season at the club (last year), he's a liability IMO. Plus his attitude about being dropped ****ing stinks too!!!
What's he said? Links would be handy! I wouldn't be pissed off if we got rid of Skrtel but I don't get why he's getting all this hate, he's been dropped because of Carra's retirement IMO, not because he's played bad enough to warrant being dropped.

It was on LFC website I think where he was moaning about Rodgers not explaining why he'd been dropped etc. True or not, you don't go public, especially when he is supposed to be one of the more senior experienced players. However, thats not my reasons for disliking him as a player. I think he's been dropped because we lacked leadership in the backline and Agger is a better option. If Carragher is playing for sentimental reasons then Rodgers deserves shooting!
