Yusupha Yaffa claims he was born on December 31st 1996 so is currently 19 years old. He also claimed he lost his personal documents when he arrived at the immigration office in Italy back in 2009. So going by his claimed date of birth, he arrived in Italy aged 12. In 2013 (aged 16) he signed a youth contract with AC Milan, where he played in their u19's until January 2015. Since September 2015 he has been playing for German side MSV Duisburg. It has now come to light that he was actually born on November 14th 1987, so he is 9 years older. Meaning he is now 28 and not 19 years old. Meaning he arrived in Italy aged 21 and not 12 years old. Meaning he joined AC Milan aged 25 and not 16 years old. AC Milan are now taking him to court for fraud: http://citifmonline.com/2016/01/18/...-yusupha-yaffa-to-court-for-saying-he-was-19/ How on earth did he manage to convince AC Milan that he was 16 when he was actually 25? Also, how on earth did he manage to convince the immigration office that he was 12 when he was 21?
There's lots of age fraud regarding the Syrian team at the Asian games. It was featued on BBC World Football at the weekend. The tournament is for U-23s, and coincidently six of the registered Syrian players are said to have been born on the 1st January 1993, which incidently was the cut off point to be eligible.
