I came across a couple of guys on Twitter who make great compilations of players. Rather than just picking their best bits which can make Downing look like Pele, it shows pretty much every touch that player has made throughout the course of the game (good and the bad). If that was all of Sakho's touches against Palace then looks like he had a very good game! Didn't give the ball away, and got a couple of good blocks. Nearly sliced into his own goal but apart from that very good.
I just went though the Henderson one. This is a very good example of what i meant the other day on the midfielder thread. Henderson played the centre midfield role IMO perfectly there. He was always available for the pass, linked defense to attack and best of all was never ahead of the ball par se. he was the one passing it. He performed the defensive duties great but he showed that being a midfielder is a lot more than just defending. you can though also see one key thing from the palace game. they were not closing down at all. he has so much time to take a touch, not always but in his own half he was turned a number of times and they just stood and let him pass it. its not going to be that easy against a better side. anyay I think its interesting to watch a player suck out side really show what he can do in the middle. the sooner johnson gets back in and we go 4 at the back so henderson can drop in to CM the better.
