Just to give a much longer form guide. We have actually now lost more than 53% of our games this calendar year. We have won less than 28% of them. We have achieved a paltry 26 points from a possible 72 on offer in 24 league games We have been knocked out of the 2 cup competition this year at home by a 3rd division outfit and last month by a 2 division one away. How can ANYONE call this progress? Please can someone explain, as I am confused and would hate to see us struggling if this is progress.
Jesus Cest you're really going for it tonight arent you!!?? I must admit, when you put it like that, the BoBs seem to have the last word. That is an awful record.
As an outsider looking in I really cant see what Bruce has to cling onto now, but beware of the turbulence getting rid of him brings.
Aye cant argue with that really. He is a clown and always has been-- his record is poor-- Am now prepared to accept that you were mistaken about the derby now and move on cos you do seem to speak sense and the truth (apart from when derby day excitement gets the better of you! ). Moving on now and prefer banter and not winding mackems up half the time--
As an outsider looking in I really can't see what Bruce has done wrong, but beware of the turbulence getting rid of him brings.
I want us to stuff West Brom but even if we do it doesn't cover up those stats. I just have a horrible feeling that Bruce is unsacksable and no manager should be that.
Has to be said that is shocking. I think only a remarkable, road to Damascus remarkable, turnaround in the next 5 or 6 games could save him. Just don't think Quinn will pull the trigger, it will have to be Short and I think that would give Niall the excuse to walk away to City. I love the big man but manager recruitment does not seem to be his strong point which is a shame as its his most important job.
Everyone keeps saying Pardew at Newcastle is doing brilliant and Bruce should be sacked, yet since 12th December 2010 both have won the same amount of league games. Think people are too quick to criticise/ take the mick of Bruce because he was a Newcastle fan as a boy.
Its a very interesting stat to be fair and should be food for thought for all the craas who have infested our board tonight to have a piss take but in no way does it help or save Bruces bacon at all. Maybe it should ring alarm bells for the scum as well, as its certainly raised the alarm for me about our predicament thats for sure.
, we've drawn a stupid amount of games though. Now in all seriousness what you rather be where Sunderland are now (having finished 10th last year) or where you when Bruce took over. I would say where you are now, so Bruce must have been doing something right.
He did a good job to a point, IMO, but he's reached the ceiling of where he can take us, and you can argue at best we've gone sideways last 12 months, or, if we're brutally honest, without Bent or Gyan, we have gone back a step. Hard to argue that, i'm sure both Sunderland and Toon fans will agree. The squad overall is better than when he got here, but the actual class in the squad? Where is it?
Nothing short of win vs WBA and no less than 5 more wins before mid December - if any of this doesn't happen he has to go. I have been on the fence for quite some time but the splinters are getting less and less and I'm falling off that fence into the Bruce Out garden.. (BoG?) Edit: By the way - speaking of "Longer form guides" - isn't that our first away defeat in 5!! Strange isn't it
