London's deputy mayor for planning Sir Edward Lister has said that the mayor will not intervene to Queens Park Rangers FC's plans for a new training facility on Metropolitan Open Land (MOL) in west London.

if you want to read any more you need to be a subscriber to something called planning resource
but it sounds like 1 less hurdle

BoJo usually intervenes to overrule local authorities that don't grant planning permission, so we're ok so far...

Apologies no link but very interesting letter in Ealing Gazette this week from Tony Young who is the chair of the Norwood Green Residents Association. Basically berates the NNOBYs (Nowhere Near Our Backyard - his phrase not mine) for being wrong in all their objections and describes the current condition as 'run down'.

He states that the Residents Association welcomes the development and the site will have more trees, maintained hedgerows and a meadow area after the development!

There was a picture of the usual mottley crew of suspects and Young's letter describes how they just shouted down anyone despite good evidence that they are just plain wrong in their objections.

Surely if the residents weclome the development, that carries an awful lot fo weight?
