Anyone watching this just now or seen it at the flicks? The Tim Burton remake - what a pile of dogs doings. I know Chuck Heston is a twat with his views on gun lobbying in USA but the original one was far better. **** me, time to turn the news on methinks.

    Heston had the right idea

Laws against weapons only benefit criminals

It is not the weapon that is the problem, it is the person

    Bollocks.

Gun related Homicides per 100,000 population:

    USA 3.6
    UK 0.04

You're 90 times more likely to be shot by a nutter with a gun in the US.

Switzerland 0.52 - with liberal gun laws, and until recently the Swiss Government actually issued every adult man under 30 with a state gun (in case the Germans get petulant again <whistle>).

The Yanks are more deadly with guns because they have a culture of machoness, especially in the southern states - the same ego culture that was prevalent in Europe during the middle ages, where every **** would challenge each other to gun duels over harmless slights of each other's character.

Switzerland is an extremely boring and repressed place and can be ignored as an outlier.

Google Chrome had it underlined as red, but I didn't care - because that's the way I roll.

I have a theory that the Americans like guns because they live in a state of perpetual fear based on the racial memory of the genocide they perpetuated to get the country followed by the enslaving of others to help them build it.

    That's whit a hink anyway.

Why would the Swiss need guns for cuckoo clocks and cheese?

The Swiss have one of the highest rates of bestiality in the world. Something like 10% of the population actually admitted to it <yikes>
