Just listened to a radio documentary about this song which we will know as "Can't help falling in love" or "Wise men say" etc
Seems was originally written in 1784 by a frenchman (Jean-Paul-Egipe Martini) as a pion to unrequited love:
The pleasure of love lasts only a moment

The grief of love lasts a lifetime...

Seems appropriate to being a footy fan somehow. I like the idea that the origins of the song go back over 200 years

Good old Radio 4 eh! Actually I thought it was a decent program and they should do more of them. Could do one on the origins of "My Way", also French I believe.
