So, in another first for me, i've decided i'm going to place some bets on the PL this season, 50 quidsworth to be precise. Any top tips? (since usually i don't bet because i'm really unlucky) now i come to think of it, what's the best site to use?
Blackburn to get relegated (7/2) Man City to finish above Arsenal (they're 5/4 with someone which is insane - can't remember which bookmaker though hmm)
For today I fancy QPR to beat Bolton, Liverpool to beat Sunderland, Ipswich to beat Hull and Leeds to beat Boro.
Blackburn vs Wolves Fulham vs Villa Liverpool vs Sunderland QPR vs Bolton - Draw Wigan vs Norwich Newcastle vs Arsenal £2 nets me £392. Worth a shot.
Opening weekend accy's are a nightmare, but for £2 you can't go wrong. Think Rovers v Wolves will be a draw. Possibly Fulham v Villa too. Obviously we will beat Arsenal so you're safe with that one!
I've gone cautious this week, quid on Rangers, Celtic, Ipswich, Forest and Sheff U which returns £22. Plus my usual cheeky bet on Colo first goal.
Yep, 33/1 because they're playing the promoted teams first 3, but i think Wigan could have a **** start against teams fighting for something, and Wigan are without Nzogbia now.
This weekend i've got a 10 game accy Liverpool vs Sunderland (home win) WBA vs Man Utd (Away win) Ipswich vs Hull (Home win) Leeds vs Boro (home win) Leics vs Reading (home win) Watford vs Derby (home win) Sheff utd vs Bradford (home win) Celtic vs dundee Utd (home win) man city vs Swansea (home win) cardiff vs Bristol City (home win) fiver on gives me £900 back, first accy of the season though i'd go for broke. haha
Blackburn v Wolves = Blackburn look a pile of sh*t IMO with a poor manager. Wolves didnt look bad away from home last year TBF. They should hit the ground running. Liverpool v Scumderland = Scousers have a good team this year and they are playing scum who dont exactly travel well. Get 'em spanked. Wigan v Norwich = In the first game of last season Wigan got spanked by newly promoted Blackpool 4-0. Plus they've lost Insomnia as well, so i can see Norwich getting off to a flyer. Stoke v Chelsea = Stoke always strong at home. However Chelsea gotta new boss and new era. Could possibly be a draw but I'm feeling brave, away win. West Brom v Man Utd = WBA have improved there team but so have Man U. Cant see Man U not winning. Plus this game is on Sunday afternoon so u can always cover ur ass if your waiting for this one to come in (I always suggest this). All of the above as an accumulator comes in around 60/1 depending on who you use. Not the biggest odds, however: If you're feeling confident/brave you can add us doing over Arsenal and make it into a 230/1 shot. If you're feeling cynical you can go with Arsenal teaching us a lesson and make it into a 130/1 shot. If you can't decide either way the draw makes it 200/1 - maybe the best option all considering. If you wanna take it one step forward and you reckon we could have another 4-4 on our hands that will be around the 200/1 mark. On another note if like me you think Andy Carroll is gonna stick one against 5under1and (albeit wearing red, the dirty swine) he's around 9/2 1st g/s and is probably a good tip. Carroll starts against Scum....get on him! P.S. Betfair always has the best odds for single bets.
I never normally put accys on, just the odd bet here and there. Gonna have a couple of quid on todays match though
Small stakes today, first day is usually very unpredictable. £2.50 returns £144 on: Liverpool Leeds Soton Huddersfield Sheffield utd Accy Stanley
My £5 bet for this weekend has been placed. Gone for Steven Taylor to score in 90 mins, £1 @ 13/2 and a £4 accumulator on: Liverpool, Fulham, Ipswich, Leeds and Leicester all to win @ 22/1.
....too late now for me but Blackburn don't have Samba or Nelsen (or Jones obviously) so I fancy Wolves there....
