i bloody hope there's compensation coming our way! good luck to him, i think he'll need some. i've said all along i think lambert will get to the very top as a manager. i still stand by that. he won't do it at aston villa mind...
Dave - Can you combine the 2 threads please?? Supers - surprised I haven't seen him on here today. Maybe he's broken his computer or the nice people in the home are limiting his use after teh last couple of days!!!!
good luck Lambo , hope they dont start taking thier shoes off to wave at you, you are only three losses away from them starting, can just hear the brummies saying god another scottish failure screwing with our club!
I assume they have but has it been confirmed Culverhouse and Karsa left with him? Also hypothetically speaking if we did prevent them speaking to Lambert despite a clause in his contract while we may not be due compensation for him surely we still would for the other 2? Presumably their contracts are not linked. Anyway good luck to him, I have no doubt he will be at a top club in the not too distant future. Despite it seeming like a strange move it may well prove to be a master-stroke on his part. If he can get them to do well in season 1 with little money, after that there is no doubt they have potential to be a very big club. He is very clever at picking his sides and I'm sure he didn't just jump in blindfolded.
Good news. Now we can stop playing silly buggers and move onwards with a focus on next season, firstly by signing Hughton, then signing 5 new players to help out. Hopefully a bidding war for Holt now commences, he can go to the highest bidder so far as I'm concerned. Scoring 15 goals again (for him) will be a hard acheivement to emulate, as he is getting older and it will take time to adjust to a new club.
He won't be in front of a forgiving crowd, if he starts off with a couple of losses, they will be right on his back.
Yep a pressure he would not have had at Norwich. More pressure at a like for like club in terms of the squad and money.
