Just seen this article in the Sun, so it must be true - http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...to-Paul-Lambert-if-they-axe-Alex-McLeish.html Really can't see it happening myself, it's just a bit of a 'Sun reporter' looking for a story on a day when there isn't much news. I see the story is also in the Daily Express!!!
Hopefully totally unfounded gibberish but if ever does turn out to be true it will be a sad day for us Canaries but, hey ho, nothing we can do about it.
He might be high on "their" list but I am willing to put a night with batterseacanaries smokin hot girlfriend on the table if Lambert was even remotely interested
Not quite how I would have phrased it, but Lerner has too much control over footballing issues for PL to be interested in this post. I think it's just a case of finding a 'newsworthy' item on the day after the shocks in the Champions League semi finals.
Bit worried that it was in The Sun AND The Express. If it was in The Beano as well I would have been mortified!
What a load of crap, they have owners seemingly unwilling to invest any decent money in a dwindling squad. They may still end up being relegated and I would say, overall, we have a better squad. We have owners that back Lambert, what could villa really offer him? Im not deluded, lambert will move on to a bigger club but I very much doubt it would be villa at anytime soon. Perhaps Liverpool or someone of that ilk.
Expect mikey boy to make an appearance shortly Personally I can't see Villa getting another point and that includes their visit to Carrow Road on the last day of the season. Would PL really want to drop back down to the Championship albeit to a potentially much bigger club ? Villa play WBA away this weekend, then take on Spurs at Villa Park, then City. Can anyone else see them getting another point ? Possibly a draw with Spurs perhaps ? Villa are going down !
i don't think villa will go down - i think one point will be enough to save them but thats not really the point. why would an up and coming manager leave a club where he has complete backing from board and fans to move to a club in total disarray? villa are a bigger club but they aren't massive. the only plausible reason for it would be to take more money - would villa offer him more money than we do? he'd certainly have more to spend at norwich. not that lambert is driven by money anyway...
Lambert will ask oneill what it's like working for randy Lerner ...lambert respectfully declines any offer.
Agree with most of that other than you think 37 points will be enough for Villa to survive. It may well be but I doubt it
i think 37 points will go down! its just i think they'll stay up on goal difference and i think they'll get their point against us, so i reckon it'll go to the wire!
a few town fans will be over this thread soon.... if i goes to villa then good luck to him. He'll need a year's supply of ear plugs though with all the booing from their fans
