Strange then that both Jesse & Bielsa put him straight back in the starting 11 as soon as he was fit. Are you suggesting they don't know their arses from their elbows ?
Who were the other 2 LBs Orta gave him a choice from? If they were worse they must have played for pub teams
Calm down Blono. I'll put it another way. Firpo has missed a fair few games with injury and covid twice. He is currently injured again and we are having to play a centre back at left back in the friendlies. When he does play he usually struggles and ends up getting booked early doors. We currently have one left back at the club. Don't you think it might be sensible to maybe buy a left back who could push for a start? That way we won't be weakened when our only left back is injured/suspended or doesn't improve his performances from last season.
Hopefully without being premature I'd like to think that relegation can be be comfortably avoided this season. Our excellent start to the season now leads me to believe we can finish a little bit higher than previously thought but unfortunately not by much. Revised forcast...16th Watching some of the other sides play though it's clear that Palace and Brentford should be fine also. Teams to be relegated; Forest Bournemouth Fulham Problem is I've not seen any of those three play yet so who knows
You can't change your prediction after the season has started that's just not cricket. I will stick to my 8th place prediction.
And I’ll stick with 12th. Otherwise if you can change your original prediction what’s the point of predicting in the first place
I still think it will be Everton, Bournemouth and Forest, think that's what I said. Everton v Forest sat will be interesting, must win already for Everton, I'd say. Still got us at 14th, we're too frail in defence for my liking, LB and Striker this window but definitely 2 new CB's for next season, personally I'd like one new one now.
Anyway after we've lost to Chelsea & Brighton the Everton game will become a relegation 6 pointer. Lose that and you'll all be begging for 17th.
So quick review after 3 games gone. We are 5 points head of where I thought we would be, I didn't expect us to make it to 7 points until after the Brentford game, so if every other game of ours goes as I guessed then we will end up on 47 points, in a comfortable 13th position. However of even more significance, is that two of the teams that my "lets predict the league table totally by the roll of some dice" said would get relegated are presently in the bottom 3, these being Leicester and Wolves. Unfortunately the dice must have gone awry somehow, give that they said West Ham were going to win the league
