Thought I'd make a thread to limit the amount made tomorrow when they are announced. Which five would you pick to play first? I'd be happy with a couple of easier games to start and get the confidence before we play the big boys.
I predicted Liverpool and then acording to those rumours we have them first. Of course it could be a load of rubbish. I would like it if we played one of the other promoted teams or some mid table teams first to try and find our feet.
Even if we only picked up a couple of points? What would that do to morale, being behind from the start?
Isn't there some legal malarkey we're warned with every year not to reprint the full list otherwise we get sued?
I don't think it makes much difference at all, if they know the games will get 'easier' They can go and get ****ed (Pardonnez le français!)
Prefer it to be relatively tough to start with - don't want an easy start and then fail to pick up many points - Southampton had a torrid start against the big boys and they did fine in the end..
Do the fixtures ever get leaked? Someone at work told me he had seen a leaked fixture list and seen our first fixture. Smelt a lot of bull, but do they ever get leaked?
Big boys first because hopefully we should start the season full of confidence after just been promoted, if we start against some of the lesser sides and get thumped I can imagine playing the bigger teams becomes harder. Having said that if we play the lesser teams first we can get some points early doors.....so maybe I'm trying to say it doesn't matter **** knows It's the premier league and we are here to play the big boys so bring them on!!!!
Yes they have in the past but I don't think recently. When we were lower league small fry and off the radar we always had a leak from PA.
A couple of the bigger sides in between games against the lower table sides so we get a couple of the harder games out of the way but may also pick up some points. Something like Liverpool, Crystal Palace, Manchester United and then Cardiff.
I'd favour an opening game to be at home against an established prem team who are ****e away. Stoke or Fulham or perhaps Norwich maybe?
There's a fair bit of excitement on Twitter from those that have officially seen the list. Fair to say expect a barnstorming start...
