What line up will we see tonight? Holy back in? Nolan getting some minutes, Piggott given a chance?

Honestly after the last match it wouldn’t surprise me to see an U18 side with Kenlock in as the captain.

Would be nice to see a decent line up with a view to getting some minutes in for certain players (KVY, Walton, Woolf etc.)

I’m going to predict a 2-2 draw and another frustrating night as a Town fan :emoticon-0114-dull:

I hope to see a strong team out and a stronger, more dominating performance.

    2-1 Town

what the hell is this?.. Holy and Kenlock?? Kenlock hasn’t even been registered to play in the league as we’ve signed 2 LBs

other than that (and Jackson) it seems reasonable

We might be surprised by this team. They all have a point to prove. Toto and calm captaincy are not ideal bedfellows!

I’ll go for my usual 2-1,that side looks at least as good(probably better)than most we fielded last Season!

I got the kick off time wrong. I’m not paying a tenner to just see the second half.

2-0 Town. These games matter for confidence and momentum and for developing individuals.

    Chaplin makes it 2-0.

    Good nights work.

Norwood on as a B team sub!

Nice little win, gives a few players important game time. I know this cup gets slaughtered but it is good for the fringe players and the further we go...the better

The irony of it is that if they brought back the Combination then this competition would have more worth.

That was the same back 5 we had for much of last season… and we kept a clean sheet.

I expect only Toto retains his place in the 18 at the weekend with a seat on the bench

Just watched the replay, not a bad game but not a great one either.

Holy was poor apart from one great save to his left from a wicked deflection. The back four were decent all around, and so they should be because Gillingham offered very little and they have all played together. Idris showed again that he can come into the first team and contribute if needed with what was a very solid game for him. I thought Harper was hit and miss today, did equal amounts good and bad stuff. Edwards was fun to watch in the first 30 minutes but drifted out of the game because we didn't get him the ball in good positions.. Jackson was well, just Jackson. Poor decision making and execution of attacking moves at times. He did at least set up the first goal. Probably not fair to pick on him because he hasn't played much but from today's display you can see why he's relegated to this type of game. Chaplin and Piggott were both good up front, linking well and providing attacking threat.

We had a few counter attack situations that we should have done better on but poor passing or control meant we did not the make the most of some dangerous breaks. I'm happy we won but it wasn't a match that will live long in the memory.

Any win is a win for the club at the moment. Important game time and for periods, good to watch. Pleased with several performances notably Idris, Chaplin, Piggot and Edwards. Jackson flattered to deceive.

    A morale momentum boosting win.
