Just wanted to compliment the club on the new pitch.

Having watched my recording of MOTD this morning and seeing how wet the grounds were everywhere, our pitch looked fantastic yesterday. I didn't notice any standing water, whereas there seemed to be a fair bit on some of the Premier League pitches. The were also some games called off yesterday I believe.

The drainage is obviously first class along with the playing surface.

Whatever it cost it was worth it. We just need to start playing some football that compliments the surface we're playing on...

Did anyone see Luton v Barnet yesterday? Great to watch. The ball was knocked forward, attacker and defender rush to get there first and ball just stops and both run past it. Happened loads of times. Worse than Derby's Baseball Ground in the seventies. Real quagmire.

I commented same to my son at the game yesterday. Once again, those video clips from prev decades reveal terrible playing conditions.

I thought the game would be called off, it was worse down here and at SMS, the ball just didnt bounce at all in places, I also saw a player on MOTD hurt himself by missing a kick when the ball didnt bounce at all.

The pitch was blamed for our poor football before, at least it cant be blamed now as it looked excellent.
