Wow, that pitch is so precious that Gareth has promised that the ball won’t touch it as far as QPR are concerned.
Having matching pitches didn’t seem to make a difference last season if you go by our results. But good to see the board are keeping to their planned budget when it comes to the main pitch (you assume they had a planned budget knowing it’s life was up after 10 years).
I’d have gone down the John Beck route and played on as **** a pitch as possible with the grass ludicrously long in the corners to hold the ball up but this will suit our trendy foreign manager from October.
I have a sneaking suspicion Gareth will surprise many of us this coming season…. But, then again, I also think Brexit is going well.
For the sort of play we’re anticipating from him he only needs a handful of seals from a Sea Life Centre or circus.
