Well nearly a week since we celebrated kicking league 1 arse with a record points total, why is it that we couldnt go onto the pitch to celebrate...apparently the FA would take measures against us if we did BUT Southampton fans are welcomed on the pitch DITTO Also rans Sheffield Wednesday fans Reading fans and fans of every other promotion winning team bar us.
So am I right in thinking the FA will sanction the saints Et al or is it only us who would of been punished.
Also the bloke who ran on the pitch at the home game before when the title was confirmed what punishment have the club given him..none hopefully BUT does anyone know.

I think it was largely because it wasn't our pitch that we invaded and that bought back bad memories for the country gentlemen of the football association of the invasion by the other south east london club of a pitch in the Luton area some 27 years ago. The duffers at the FA can't understand that time has moved on and that we are not the boys from the brickies arms.

You would probably hear them at their council meetings at Wembley

"Those nice people at Southampton and Reading couldn't possibly commit criminal damage old boy unlike those hooligans in south east london. Now how much money can we give to the Rutland county league this year?"

They are more worried about that than the white collar crime which is costing many of the clubs their financial existence.

I was informed that the kid who ran on the pitch alone a few weeks ago wasn't arrested or anything, was just let free at the end.

It was also confirmed yesterday on the cafc twitter feed that the FA aren't going to do anything regarding our pitch invasion.

    Excellent news.

They can now turn their attention full time to finding further excuses why goal-line technology shouldn't be brought in as soon as possible and to finding reasons to extend the 'five substitutes' rule indefinitely.
