Looks like he's getting off with it...Serving his sentence from home with a bit community service thrown in by the sounds of the initial summing up..

Just feel that the judge is building up to give a very light sentence by her summing up..

South African's judicial system have been accused since day one of manipulating this case so that their national hero gets away with this crime, yet they've done nothing to dispel this all along.

One of the murder capitals of the world, a disgusting country full of corruption.

It wouldn't surprise me if they gave Oscar a South African medal of honour for defending his country.

    He'll serve probably 12 months.

He'll be out for the next paralympic games.

I know he's admitted to killing the lass but has he actually been found guilty of murder?
I don't know as I've not really been following it lately.

I don't know how the South African judicial system works.
Did he get a manslaughter charge?
In Scotland they have a unique charge called culpable homicide which is different to manslaughter.

Ah right, well if that was England he'd be looking at 5-9 years I guess.

He wouldn't have got manslaughter in England mate, you're not allowed to shoot intruders for a start!

Hopefully he'll get both his stumps rammed right up his arse and beaten to a pulp on his first day and every consecutive day until the day he leaves the slammer.

But he hasn't been found guilty of first degree murder though.
Manslaughter is a completely different thing.

Yes I know that but in South Africa you are.
If you have a fight with a man outside a pub in Manchester, punch him in the face, he go's down, smacks his head on the kerb & dies, I think you'd be looking at roughly the same jail time.

I'd trust the British courts to see through his lies a bit better than the S/Africans who still see this man as a hero. Only slightly mind, the UK courts are still ****e as well.

Just read he's doing 10 months in Prison then the rest of his 5 years under house arrest.

    What. A. ****ing. Joke.

Poor Reeva her life is worth nothing to these disgusting people.

    Well that is an injustice.
I'm not moralising or defending the bloke.
He's been through a trial in a court of law.
Found guilty of manslaughter not murder.
Only one person knows whether he deliberately shot the lass knowing it was her or not.
    And that's him.

I do agree however, that house arrest is total bollocks.
