From a very early age, around 14, I have been a disciple of the power of positive thinking, yes I know many will think it crap and that’s fine, not on a crusade to change minds.

This view on life brought me a great deal of success in my professional life even though it ****ed up miserably in my personal life, I wont go any further down that road but back to my point.

Over the past week I have found myself dragged into a ridiculous state of pissed off, not by anyone or anything but by a set of circumstances and title tattle that have made one small molehill into mount Everest, time to give my heed a shake as Osca would say, he is Scottish.

The Henderson sale was inevitable, we are not and are nowhere near a top 4/6 side, Liverpool are so would it be fair on Hendo to say no, you stay here son and what frame of mind would that leave Henderson with, despite your love of our club would you have stayed, honestly?

We need a big rebuild yes but we knew that and we can argue all day about who’s fault it is, the simple truth is that argue all we want, it changes nothing, gets us telling each other what dick heads we are and depresses the **** out of me. Debate by all means but leave me out of the arguments because its doing my head in and making me negative.

The problem with a rebuild is we will bring in squad players who’s names may not inspire but players who will bring something to the table. Its natural to link players, Hendo out and Gibson in and we say Gibson ain’t going to replace Henderson or Ngog cant replace Bent, we need to stop this replace thing.

I doubt we will replace Bent with a 20+ goals a season player but we may replace his goals with 2 15 goals a season players, a forward and scoring midfielder.

I digress because my main point is we are just 2 weeks into the window, players and managers are just getting back from holidays, we have no idea what is going on behind the scenes but we know that Short,Quinn and Bruce know as we do that major surgery is needed and that a strike force of Boothroyd and DJ Campbell will not do it for us so why worry that its what they are planning.

The next few weeks will, IMO, see major movement but it will still be deadline day or very near before we get the full picture. Until then I’m going to try and keep my positive head on.

I don't mind the players we are linked with,

Some good, some not so, but we are only linked with them, we havn't got them.

I can see some big changes in the next few weeks, with some names leaving that will cause an uproar, but they will be replaced by some names that will make people think, well we got a good deal out of that.

Can see some good deals happening, Bruce is no mug in transfers, he's aquired some good players over the years, and will do again.

When I feel pissed off of being pissed off, I find the best solution is to get pissed.

When I was younger I used to loose whole weekends being pissed off just 'cause the lads got beat.
These days I'm usually over it in about one hour. It could just be practice or the fact I have four beautiful daughters. One look and I realize Football just ain't worth it.

    "I'm so happy I could just ****"

T-shirt slogan circa 1970's. Its not Shakespeare but it gets the job done. Also, it could double up as Oscas theme judging by his picture on your posts? Lol
