The journalists at the PinkUn are in a very difficult position. They don't want fans to think that the PinkUn is just the club's Pravda, but on the other hand if they get too critical or stray too far from the party line the club will simply cut off their inside information. During this summer, I've had a strong feeling that many of the articles on the PinkUn haven't exactly been planted, but have very much sent the message that they know the club wants out there. For instance, I had a strong sense that there was an attempt to soften us up after the departure of Buendia to Villa, and now it seems as if Sargent has become the poster boy of the new arrivals, possibly because the club knows that the reaction to signing him has been lukewarm judging by the posts on the PinkUn messageboard, and possibly because Tzolis isn't over the line yet and they know fans will be very disappointed if it doesn't happen so they're bigging up Sargent, and possibly because Todd leaving is due to be announced very soon and they desperately want some news to reduce the flak they take because of that.

I definitely feel the club uses the PinkUn to try to manipulate us as supporters. And now the messageboard seems to be down just after Cantwell is announced as not playing due to a 'slight ankle knock'. Am I over-thinking things and just being paranoid? (This is a real question, not a rhetorical one.)

The EDP are the media arm of NCFC and will always try to spin positives for the club .

I only ever used to buy the EDP before online news was so readily available to read on the train .

I would read the back pages flick through tons of adverts and stories about village fairs and tracters getting stuck then leave it on the seat.

It would be counter productive to criticise the club too much.

The Norwich Twitter feed is good for the line ups but they often abandon any updates if we are losing.

IF Max and Tod also go and we don't have time to bring in new players then the fans have a right to grumble.

Let's just wait and see how we line up against Liverpool and panic after the transfer window slams shut .

So long as the club doesn't complain about being skint and ask us to dip our hands into the pocket for the academy again I'll stay quiet .
