Just a thought and with apologies to Clingo.

Clearly we are doing poorly this season, both home and away, but away from home that pink kit is not serving us well.

Footballers have a natural aggression, like most sportsmen. However, when the chips are down and you look to your colleagues for inspiration, our players see that bloody pink kit.

For me it inspires no confidence or an ability to raise the game. I would prefer our second choice kit to be red or black.

I'm not dull enough to think that is the root of the problem - it goes much deeper than that - but surely our away kit should be something to provide team spirit, determination and a willingness to get things done.

For me pink does none of those things and the colour should be dumped - NOW - and the lime green one. As well as MM.

Did the players have any choice in the colour? I think not.

Apart from the fact that VT imposed the red kit to replace the blue one that had been our colour since God was a lad, I didn't mind it. And this is from someone who hates Arsenal and MU.

I just think that pink has no part in competitive sport. It completely lacks any form of inspiration.

And that is what we need as our football is absolutely dire.

MM out!!!
