Could they be buying players from other clubs first then casually putting in a big bud for a couple of ours then using precedent?
Think it has nothing to do with us They want to build their league regardless of where the players come from
It’s a strange one. PIF are bigger than all things normal. But the Saudi deals and the sheer volume of money they have is quite crazy.
Say we’re struggling around mid table at Christmas and have a couple of injuries, is there anything stopping us loaning Neves and Koulibaly? The Saudi club continues to pay their wages and it keeps our wage bill down sticking to FFP rules
I have no idea. But it looks dodgy as hell. I think a player can only be registered twice in a season. So the original club and the new one.
If so then awesome. Still not sure it’s the plan though. I just think they are going to saudi for the money.
The Saudi league looks like it's gonna be dog. First of all the top four teams being PIF owned makes the entire competition pointless, they're essentially buying one player for each side to make the league artificially more competitive. Lol. For us, considering we still haven't signed anyone, but Saudi clubs are hoovering up players, I can't deny I'm a tad bit annoyed. Weren't PIF also linked to a Belgian club also, talk about running before you can walk. They have already at this stage bought 5 football clubs. I saw someone on reddit say that the Saudi's are already ruining boxing, they're in the process of ruining golf, next they're going to try and ruin football. I can't deny I do think it's happening.
I pointed out on the PL board that their is a very close link between the majority shareholders of Chelsea (Clearlake Capital) and PIF, with the former managing a large portion of the latter's money. Maybe they have somehow persuaded PIF to take their yearly dividends in surplus Chelsea players. They have enough to keep doing it for a few years.

With more money than any other potential owner, the team is in a position to snag top athletes like James Tarkowski and Sergi Roberto according to Marca. The new team began to form in 2022 with more changes on the horizon. Despite agreements that say Saudi Arabia will not be involved in the decision making for the club, only time will tell.
