Apparently, PIF continue their crusade to sportswash football clubs across Europe. I'm starting to think the mags won't get the takeover they hope for

i can almost see all these super rich owners meeting at a club once a week as they play real life fifa with each other and i honestly think that would be the only reason for a closed super league, they may even have their own betting on the league(s) with potentially billions changing hands...they have feck all else to do with all that money!

Can't work out whether this is good for the town or not.

Hard to prioritise a team like Newcastle in an already saturated competition like the premier league.

But then, they also share a youth system with Inter Milan, which is no joke. Any kids who come off the conveyor belt with a hankering for peas pudding and stottie will finally know where to go.

    Jesus. Good for them.

Wonder if they're looking and Ralf Rangnick. He has experience of this kind of conglomerate.

Can they not just buy the Premier League and theorefore all of the clubs within it and save everyone a load of ****, just delete Watford, Southampton, Burnley and Norwich. They should just start their own league on Mars with shuttle's leaving Ponteland International on the hour, bring yer own oxygen obvs.

Does this mean Inter are the richest in the world or the Mags or both...or neither .....

A continuing relegation fight, settling for an ex-Bournemouth manager and a woman as the face of the club ...

... is this worth nicking yer mam's best tea towel and dancing around SJP for the Sky cameras.

Probably not, and now it'll be sinking in that their new owners weren't being honest with them. All that time demanding clarity and they're stuck with some of the most duplicitous people on the planet.

Only this time there's no possibility of protesting. They got what they demanded and everyone will simply laugh if they start complaining again.
And who could they protest to in any case. The PL who gave them what they were screaming for, Ashley who sold the club as they demanded, Boris Johnson who allowed the takeover despite the pleas from Amnesty, etc.

They're completely screwed because they couldn't have celebrated more when the Saudis took complete control of their club ...

... they thought they'd been given their club back, but they've really just had their arses handed to them <laugh>

Don’t think we can blame them for that unfortunately, mostly down to the ridiculous amount of tax we pay. I will be keeping a close eye on fuel prices in Newcastle though :emoticon-0100-smile

Anyway, back on the subject. Wonder where the heads of the PIF will be visiting on a regular basis. Milan or Newcastle. I know what my money would be on!

I wouldn't underestimate the wealth of the Saudi's involved in these deals. What they are paying is loose change compared to projects ongoing in the the region..its a meaningless amount of money for them. The money the have "given" to the likes of Bahrain, Sharjah in the UAE to help them through difficult times runs into tens of billions dollars, One project alone near the Red Sea is costing literally Billions...Their Oil and Gas expenditure dwarfs anything they are spending on football clubs, as I say, this money is meaningless, a mere plaything for them.

    UEFA rules
This states that no two clubs or more participating in a UEFA club competition may be directly or indirectly controlled by the same entity or managed by the same person.

Two massive clubs who regularly play in European competition, and a yoyo club from northern England. I wonder who they'll prioritise.

Just like when they had to pretend they never wanted Conte, Gerrard, Emery, etc ...

... just as they're pretending Howe is actually the best man for the job they'll pretend PIF buying other clubs won't affect NUFC.

Apparently the old Crone has been boasting, on their board, how he's having a great laugh on here, I'm sure he'll be on soon to tell us why this is actually great news for Newcastle.
