Do any of you watch the battle between those 2 on twitter? Well to be honest it is not really a battle as Piers totally embarrasses Owen. He tells it as it is to Owen, about how useless he is and that his PL medal was a hollow one. It is funny because it annoys Owen so much who then retaliated by saying "I would rather play little for a big team than a lot for a poor team". I would like to know what Newcastle fans thinks of the old timer calling their team poor. It is very funny indeed.

Haha after this I have gained alot of respect for Piers Morgan, Michael Owen is just a mercenary looking for his next big pay day and medal, dont kid yourself Man U fans that he loves the club, as he has proven by rejecting his home team Liverpool and (thanks god) left Newcastle, saying hed rather play less for big club then more for a poor one.

He has lost the apetite for football and needs to fund the horses, so why not accept money from Man U to fund his lifestyle...

Piers Morgan is a dick, but he atleast talks sense, and is right Michael is buzzing to be sitting on the bench for another year, what kind of ambition is that!!

Man U in all fairness deserved to win the title this year since they were the only team not to bottle it and held there nerve, Owen however did not deserve a medal!!

Okay so you think Barcelona would sign Owen? Or even Madrid or Chelsea?

The only reason we signed Owen is because Ferguson has always liked Owen <ok>

    ...................

If they wanted a back up striker of that quality who is happy to spend the vast majority of time on the bench, then yes.

    And Madrid did sign him.

Yeah but I meant this season, Madrid signed him in his prime.. He has basically been living off the first 4 years of his career ever since... and I cant imagine Barcelona signing him....
Ferguson has obviously seen something in him.. but lets see at the end of the season how much he has contributed!

    .....................................

He will not contribute any more than he did this year. He is a back up, and will be behind Rooney, Hernandez, Berbatov and Welbeck.

Do you actually believe we would have 5 strikers all fighting it out for 2 places? And do you actually believe Berbatov will be staying? In my eyes he is as good as sold, it is just a question of who to.

Ferguson has also said, Owen will get more games. To me this means Owen is going to be 3rd choice and that is worrying to say the least.

    ..................................

At the start of last season we had Rooney, Berbatov, Hernandez, Macheda and Owen.
That was five. Yes, just rechecked my adding up.

    ...................................

As of now, Berbatov is still a United player. I will treat him as one until proved otherwise.

To me it means Owen is going to get more games, nothing more. Not sure how anyone can deduce he will be third choice by that very short statement.

Owens better than NDOG, nuff said, plus he was free and he is still one of the best clinical finishers in the league, whats the point in mentioning Barca?

There was no point in mentioning Barcelona.

Having read a few of Valencia25's posts today, and noted the similarity in the idiocy of Nohlman, I can only conclude that he is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Big club or not, we've been your biggest threat to the Prem title over the last seven years.
