    Manager's West Brom press conference.

The lowdown from the gaffer's pre-match briefing with the press.

Steve Cotterill met the media ahead of Saturday's FA Cup third round tie at West Brom. - City boss is waiting on how a couple of players respond to treatment

    - On Bennett's decision to join Blackburn, Cotterill says: "We have to be realistic that we can't compete with most of the teams in the Championship financially."

    - Cotterill: "I spoke to Elliott and expected to see him on Monday, but things very quickly in this game."

    - City manager says there is no pressure on his team this weekend heading to West Brom

    - West Brom are organised and well-disciplined under Tony Pulis, adds Cotterill

    - Cotterill says 5,300-strong backing is so important to the players and thanks them wholeheatedly

    - Cotterill says there are plenty of things to factor into signings, including finance, the club's league position and the desire to bring in players aged under 24

    - "We're not top of the food chain at the moment and that might change towards the back end of the window," added Cotterill

    - Cotterill: "We've got plenty of irons in the fire but none of them ready to take out. There are plenty of things going on."

    - Cotterill confirms he is aiming to tie up a deal for Cameroonian striker Arnold Garita, with paperwork being finalised

    - Garita will train with the first team, play for the Under-21s but also be involved on first team matchdays when needed

I am picking over the bones of the comments Cotts made today, the three sentences I have highlighted show lack of ambition, gives the impression our club to quote him,"Is at the bottom of the food chain." He talks about, " Irons in the fire but not being ready to take them out."..

Just who the hell is in charge, who is making the decisions, nearly everything stated in those three sentences are different to what we hear from Steve Lansdown, Dawes, Lansdown jnr and Burt are all hiding again and doing sod all, The Three Stooges.

Where is the communication, decision making, leadership, urgency, evidence of attempted signings, other teams have completed their plans already, we who are down in the relegation area and are told we have to wait until the end of the month for any actions, we are down to 17 players, 3 of them carrying injuries, 1 has never completed a first squad game, 1 has just returned from a season long injury, 2 games in the next 4 days are taking place.

Hello is anybody there, can you smell the coffee, or is it just me...

This is getting worse by the day..

SL says, "Our intention is to get promoted to the premier league as soon as possible"

SC says " We can't compete with bigger teams in the Championship"

This is only going one way..

We're no longer heading to L1, we're hurtling there at an increasing rate of knots.

It seems the lunatics are still well and truly in charge of the asylum, and there is no sign of any sanity or order being restored.

Good way to alienate your fan base and drive attendances down you bunch of incompetent, unworthy, and abject Muppets.

    You're a total disgrace.
