To add to our team now.

I'm afraid I'm to young to give a decent contribution to this, but here's the aim of the game.

Pick one from from each of the last 5 decades (one from 1960's, 1970's, 1980's, 1990's and 2000's) who you would add to our current team to make us stronger. Dont just pick the best player from each decade, think how they would fit into the team, and what positions need strengthening in our current team. Lets see what we come up with. Their are a lot of greats to choose from.

Explaining why you picked each player to.

60's - Ron Yeats - **** me, the man was huge! Strong in the air, he'd certainly not get bullied by the likes of Drogba.
70's - Toshack - Lots of great players to choose from, but its down to Tosh or Kevin Keegan, and Tosh edges it on his aerial ability and quality of layoffs.
80's - Souness - Big Tash gets the nod here, not because of his tackling, although his was pretty dominant in the midfield, but he had good vision for passing and a decent shot on him.
90's - Robbie Fowler - the Fox in the box. I reckon he'd work a treat with Tosh winning the high balls and Fowler tucking away the chances...
00's - Xabi Alonso - Supreme vision and an unbelievable range of passing. Almost never wasted possession.

I was one that grew up watching the mighty reds in the 90's so for me it is barnes, beardsley, Macca, Fowler, owen, and Alonso. I know I strayed from the old days but I didn't see those. Would probably have to throw in Keegan, Souness/Molby as well ( goals and steel in the middle).
