You can see what a difference it made to the Backwell pitch having had City ground staff working on it!! Good community game and hopefully a local club benefitted from it in a few ways..
Given the number of players we've got, I'd like to see a few more matches like this played. I reckon we could easily field two teams, and have SOD and Pemberton manage each match. I'm all for the community trust, but one of the best ways of enabling community events is to get the players playing for the fans. Sure, from the clubs perspective the players shouldn't be playing a ton of matches, but let the players take them a bit more seriously, get two teams playing at once in different places and the fans and community will be happy to see some talent.
Just looking at the pics thought the trial GK looked well tall then realise he was stood next to bobby reid!
