His improvement has been so exciting to watch and doesn't seem to be letting up. Already imo one of the best players in the league - he's a magician and I can't see many (if any) weaknesses in his game. For me he'd walk into any team in the league - and that is me trying to be as unbiased as possible. His intelligence for the game you simply cant teach. At his age we have someone VERY special in our ranks. I posted this on the Liverpool board - just wanted to see what opposition fans think... No doubt he is a quality footballer But at the risk of turning this into a pissing contest I rate Hazard more. An intelligent, sublime, more polished player just a shame he plays for such a negative team.
Different players though. Hazard is a wide player that likes to cut in where as Coutinho is more a number 10. Agree though, Hazard is already WC in my opinion. Score goals, creates goals is a constant threat and has 1 bad game in 4. Coutinho needs to become more consistent that's for sure
fantastic player ..ran rings round man city the day .. how he wasn't in the brazil squad for last wc I will never know
I think they went with experience (mainly), which we all saw back fired. He's in their squad these days though
What and you don't? I saw a poll on sky sports about who's been the best player in 2015 so far. He got something ridiculous like 75% of votes. We paid £8mil for him and Di Maria isn't fit to lace his boots. He'd walk into your starting 11, and you know it - even if you despise yourself for admitting it.
When was the poll, just after they'd shown his three recent cracking goals? These polls mean absolutely **** all, who cares what Sky Sports viewers think? Look, he's a very (very) good player, it was more a comment that you lads always think your players are the best, not that I thought he wasn't. Di Maria is ****ing gash mate. I was at the game on Saturday and he was giving a really good impression of Ralph Milne. He's ****e.
Fair comment mate The Di Maria one is interesting. What has happened to him? From being so good in La Liga to being extremely poor. I realise he's had to play different positions but you could say the same for Coutinho (for example). Is it that he hasn't settled to life in England? It seems so strange, because so far he's looked like he's worth £5-10Mil tops. Mind you I really do question some of Van Gaals attributes as a manager, I just don't get him, and find it so hard to believe the success he's had - looks like a bang average manager to me. Yeah you could argue that you're 4th, but at this rate I honestly don't see you staying there. I personally think Arsenal have 3rd locked down and it will be Liverpool battling it out with the Spuds for 4th, with Utd ending up 6th. There just seems so many unanswered questions at Man Utd these days, and unfortunately as we all know the PL is so unforgiving. Talking of managers Pelligrini looks well out his depth too, I actually quite like him, but I believe his stubbornness will be the final straw for him in the PL. The manager merry go round, lucky for them they get paid well, otherwise what a **** job to have
Agree on Pellegrini, he was never all that and never has been. I said at the time with both United and Chelsea changing managers that all City had to do was keep Mancini to have be absolute nailed on champions. As it is they lucked out because only Liverpool took them on and didn't quite have the nous and quality to go through with it. Even then, to be frank, they handed it to City in the end. As for LVG, my worry at the time was while he's had success it's never been sustained, just the odd league and CL here and there over a long period of time. I expected him to steady the ship, build a decent squad and hand it over after two or three years with us back in shape. He might well yet but right now it looks unlikely, some of the stuff he does is frankly bizarre and weird and makes **** all sense. I can't see us finishing worse than fifth as I doubt Spurs or Saints will come back with a run but I can also see us finishing no better than fifth too. In our favour is we play our rivals for top four, bar Saints. I really can't see Arsenal beating us, they will be happy to draw, but we also need to beat them and also Liverpool and Spurs to stand any chance at all. A tall order. Beating City is now a must given Liverpool have just done it. If we finish fifth is it really much of an improvement on last year, given the players in? I can tell you for certain we are certainly not playing any better but the results themselves are, just about. Of his signings, Di Maria has been turned into a pub footballer and on Saturday's evidence Blind isn't much better. He also needs to decide what he wants to do with Rojo, is he centre half or left back? If he's left back then he should give Shaw a go at right back, I see no reason why not as he plays his wingers, if you can call them that, on the wrong side. Either way please make up your mind and play a settled defence. The best signing has been Herrera, although he was one Moyes identified and would have signed. Perhaps that's why van Gaal doesn't seem to want to play him? Same with Shaw, who Moyes would also have signed. Can't say I like what I see, at all.
