Great article from a good man. Never realised he had played for so many clubs. Longest time spent with us and Hereford.
Ooh ah Stantonah! The only man who could adequately follow Chris Pike!! Great memories of Stanty and all the free kicks and penalties he won for us. Great player, great character and at his best when he played next to Carl Dale.
Yes i just about remember him and my dad gave me a signed City shirt he wore ,the badge is round with just a Bluebird(swift) and says Cardiff City AFC ,shirts sponsers were SWE and also the name Striker on the breast opposite the badge ,red inside collar and white collar with a blue band ............smart as feck ,lol
Remember one game he played for us in particular was against reading and Shaka Hislop was going for some kind of record ( think it was most time in goal without conceding ? ) Stant put 3 past him
