http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896...wenger-lining-up-former-charlton-manager-phil What are your thoughts gooners? Mixed bag at charlton, a bit like marmite with a lot of the fans although his tenure can hardly be regarded as a success.
We didn't have a great season, we were in the playoffs however when Parky got the sack but we hadn't had a league win in about two months. He never seemed to fancy a passing style of play although it's not like he had bunches of talent at his disposal. One good thing was that players seemed to like playing for him, several turned down higher wages elsewhere to join last summer.
Parkinson was the manager before Phil Brown for city, he didnt do a particulaly good job with us had us in the relegation zone by christmas :/ he made some good signings like Michael Turner and Sam Ricketts though, he couldnt motivate the players and specialies in route one football
Hope your players like ice baths in December. His decision to use this as a form of punishment got the players backs up and were his downfall during his time with us.
